Employee Laptop Distribution
Employee laptop distribution continues until the end of the Spring semester. Laptops are being distributed out of BUS 130 Tuesday – Friday; 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please be sure to bring your cell phone with you and know your Zoom password. If you are unable to come to campus during distribution hours, please email or call Melanie Frazier at fraziem@scc.losrios.edu or x2001.
IT will be collecting employee desktops at a later date so please start saving files you want to keep to either a flash drive or a shared drive. If you need assistance, please contact the Help Desk at x2222.
If you wish to keep your desktop, you will need to email your dean with a justification as to why you need to keep your desktop. The dean will need to approve the request and forward it to Kirk Sosa for his and VPA approval.
Employees will be allowed to keep a monitor, keyboard & mouse. Each employee will be given a docking station; however, those have been in high demand and are back-ordered at this time. As soon as they become available, you will be contacted for pick up.

Accreditation Update
The college has received our list of Core Inquiries from ACCJC, and the President has begun to share them with College Council, the Accreditation Steering Committee, and the constituency group leads.
In the coming weeks you can expect that we will:
- Meet with the areas that need to be involved in addressing these inquiries
- Will announce details of a forum for the entire college community

Distinguished Service Award 2022
Are you graduating or transferring at the end of the academic year? Have you demonstrated a commitment to serving the SCC community or your community at large? Apply for the Distinguished Service Award!
The Distinguished Service Award is one of the most prestigious awards offered at Sacramento City College and dates back to the early years of the college. Two students will be selected.
This award comes with a $1,500 scholarship. Recipients will be honored in various ways including on the SCC website and on social media.

On Thursday, March 31 we celebrate and reflect on the life and legacy of César Chávez. Chávez made a lasting impact on America’s farmworkers through his work as a labor leader and civil rights activist. This holiday promotes community service in honor of Chávez's life and work.

The Truth About Law School
All students are invited to “The Truth About Law School” on Monday, April 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm via Zoom with guest speaker and FLC alum Malina Dunk Walker. Malina is a third-year law student and Kennedy Scholar at McGeorge School of Law and she will be sharing her experiences, insights, and tips with students interested in the legal profession. “Law is a truly powerful and transformational profession but school is profoundly challenging, so I am happy to support interested students,” Malina shares. This session will be a presentation/discussion format followed by a Q&A session.
