Bring your friends and family to Celebrate City at SCC and experience what it means to be a Panther! Our annual community open house is open to all and admission is free. There will be great food, music and entertainment, as we showcase our incredible programs, clubs, student talent and more.
Help us spread the word by sharing our Celebrate City promotion on social media or grabbing a flyer in SCC's Public Information Office (RHN 277).

Attend Sacramento State Spring Sting 2024!
The Sacramento State Office of Admissions and Outreach will be hosting Spring Sting in person at Sacramento City College on Tuesday, April 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Spring Sting is an event where we bring Sacramento State departments and support services to your community college. Prospective transfer students will have the opportunity to meet with the Sacramento State community in order to help facilitate the transition from community college to our campus.

PTK Beta Eta Psi April Study Session (PTK created banner)
Thursday, April 4, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - RHN 258
Students are invited to join PTK Beta Eta Psi and prepare for the Integration Bee that’s on April 12. Practice problems will be provided as we help participants feel more confident about key concepts, but students studying other subjects are also welcome to join in on the fun. Plus, pizza, snacks, and drinks will also be available!
Encourage a student to secure their spot by Wednesday, April 3.

Priority Deadline for Financial Aid Extended to May 2
The priority deadline for submitting your 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) has been extended to May 2, 2024. For the 2024-2025 award year only, the priority filing date has been extended from March 2, 2024 to May 2, 2024.
If students have not submitted their 2024-2025 FAFSA or CADAA Application yet, please encourage them to do so ASAP. If they have received confirmation of a submitted 24-25 FAFSA from the Department of Education or confirmation of a submitted 24-25 CADAA from the California Student Aid Commission, then they do not have to complete it.

Monthly Grants Clinic
Don't miss the monthly Grants Clinic on the second Thursday each month, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Sue Byrne, Director of Grants Management. This is an opportunity to get help with finding grants, completing an application or getting clarity on where to start.

Internship Info Session: Mercy Volunteer Program
All Los Rios students are invited to attend an informational session on Tuesday, April 9, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, to learn about Mercy Hospital of Folsom's Volunteer Program. This hybrid event will take place at FLC's main campus in Lilac Hall FL5-111, and will also be streamed remotely via Zoom.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about how they can contribute to the community while gaining valuable experience in a hospital setting. By volunteering, they’ll have the opportunity to work alongside doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals and gain valuable skills and knowledge that will help them in their future healthcare careers.
