Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
During the month of May, we pay tribute to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America's history and are instrumental in its future success. The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum have curated stories and events in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

Anti-Asian Hate Talk
All are invited to a special presentation by Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney Chi Soo Kim on Tuesday, May 18, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by the United States Attorney’s Office and American River College President Melanie Dixon. Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney Kim made an anti-Asian hate presentation to the Los Rios community last May and received high praise from the audience. Above the helpful legal information she provided, she, as a daughter of Korean immigrants who knows firsthand about facing anti-Asian incidents, connected impressively well with the Los Rios community. Her presentation is a must-attend event for all those who disapprove of the current anti-Asian climate and wish to know how to address it.
