Vaccine Requirement
Make sure to check your email today, August 16, for an update from district and college leadership that includes information on how to upload vaccine verification, student incentives and upcoming on-campus clinics!
PPE for Return to Campus
Each classroom hosting in-person classes for fall and offices that will be in use, will receive personal protective equipment (PPE), including disposable masks, cleaning sanitizer/disinfectant, hand sanitizer. Please note that we are providing masks for employees; students are required to provide their own masks, although a small number of disposable masks will be available to those who forget theirs so they can still attend class. There are also a limited number of cloth masks available for employees. To receive a cloth mask, please call the Operations office at (916) 558-2543.
 
Those classrooms and offices where additional sanitizing, beyond those outlined in the Sanitizing and Disinfecting Schedule and Guidance and any areas that have made requests will also receive disinfectant spray and/or wipes to meet their needs. Most classrooms will be scheduled for cleaning twice a day using a sanitizing fogger. To ensure staff is able to sanitize your classroom, please make sure to exit promptly after class and encourage students to do the same. Personal workspaces will continue to be the responsibility of the employee to sanitize, but high-touch surfaces such as counters and doors throughout the campus will be cleaned one to two times per day. In coordination and communication with area deans, managers and supervisors, Plexiglas has been installed at many of our student services and other high-traffic areas. If you believe your area needs Plexiglas, please contact your area dean, manager or supervisor.
 
If you notice that you are running low on PPE supplies or you have not received the supplies as outlined above, submit a request for PPE. If you believe your room was not sanitized on schedule, please send an email to Kellie Lusk.

Student Technology Resources
Refer students to the Technology Resources webpage to learn how to download software like Microsoft and Adobe, see if they are eligible for a free Chromebook, and find information about low-cost or free internet and wi-fi.

They can also reset their password, set up security questions, or contact Tech Support if they have additional questions.
Student Deadlines
Here are some key student deadlines for fall full-term classes.
  • September 3: Last day to drop classes and qualify for a tuition refund
  • September 5: Last day to enroll in classes; also last day to drop classes without notation on record

Important Announcements
Here are some helpful reminders for the college community:

  • Emergency Resources: Download the Rave Guardian App to have Sacramento City College safety resources and information at your fingertips, including emergency procedures.
  • Parking: Consistent with recent semesters, we will not sell semester or daily parking permits for Fall 2021. Employee parking permits will not be issued. Students and employees will not be ticketed for lack of permits during this time period.
  • Smoking: Sacramento City College campuses are tobacco-free, smoke-free, and vape-free.
  • Free Speech: Please be aware that outside groups occasionally visit campus exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech. These groups might display images or engage in speech that is offensive to some. Learn more about free speech on campus and the college's posting guidelines.
