An Open House at Sacramento City College" to see our range of incredible programs, classes and clubs; meet our talented and friendly students, professors and employees; and experience for themselves what it means to be a Panther!
To ensure this event is truly representative of our college, we need your help to showcase the best of SCC! Please fill out the participation form to let us know how you can be a part of the event. There are opportunities for tabling, demonstrations or activities. If you have an idea that you're not sure about, submit it anyway and a member of our planning committee will reach out.

Review Your Website Directory Profile
The deadline to complete your Los Rios faculty and staff web directory profile review has been extended to Friday, March 24. It is critical that every employee take a few minutes to review and make any necessary changes to your profile even if you've submitted web directory changes in the past. We anticipate launching the new system across all Los Rios websites on Monday, March 27.

Monthly Grants Clinic Thursday, March 9
Don't miss the monthly Grants Clinic this week with Sue Byrne, Director of Grants Management.
The Grants Clinic will be held on campus on the second Thursday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is an opportunity to get help with finding grants, completing an application or getting clarity on where to start.
Make an appointment to meet Sue or simply pop in at RHN-277 (Public Information Office) to discuss all things grant-related.

Nominations Now Open for Celebration of Excellence
The Celebration of Excellence is an annual event recognizing special people who have played an important role in building the success of Sacramento City College. Once again, the Honors and Awards Committee is recognizing employees for the Individual Excellence Award and the Team Excellence Award for exemplary performance and achievement.
The Individual Excellence Award is open for nominations of any administrative, certificated, or classified professional, full-time, part-time, or temporary, who has demonstrated excellence in their daily activities and contributed to the enhancement and prestige of the college. For the Team Excellence Award, a team is defined as a group of interdependent people who work collaboratively and closely together toward a common goal. Team members may not nominate their own team.

Please complete the following two items:
Step 1: Video Nomination
Create a video nomination (up to 3 minutes; 1 GB limit), which you will upload to the nomination form. Please explain—with examples—why this nominee/team should be considered for the Excellence Award using the following eight criteria:
- exhibits expertise in their job area
- performs their job in an exemplary manner
- works for the betterment of the college and its students
- demonstrates qualities of leadership and/or initiative
- represents the college with distinction in professional and community activities
- earns the respect of fellow employees and/or students involved in campus events
- volunteers time and energy above and beyond the assignment
- promotes the values of anti-racism and equity-mindedness
You may be as creative as you like in the video nomination. The video nomination may include PowerPoint slides, live footage of the nominee/team in action, narration, recording of a Zoom meeting, etc. This video will be shown at Fall Convocation to introduce the awardee. The Honors and Awards Committee asks you to provide sufficient information so we can evaluate all submissions as fairly as possible.
If you need technical assistance in creating or submitting the video nomination, you may contact either of the Honors and Awards committee tri-chairs (Patti Leonard or Gerry Ochoa).

- What's your story? Would you like to share it? Storytellers Sherie Coelho and Lesley Gale will host a storytelling workshop in support of the Women's History Month theme: Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories. This supportive gathering will provide tools, instruction, and practice for creating a story that could be shared with others. Hosted by the CRC Women’s History Committee and CRC’s Center for Inclusion and Belonging.

Undocu-Leadership Virtual Conference March 11
Students are invited to join the Virtual Undocu-Leadership Student Strand at the 7th Annual Keeping the Dream Alive Conference on Saturday, March 11, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Los Rios Community College Undocumented Dream Centers/ Programs, in partnership with California State University, Sacramento, are excited to offer this opportunity for undocumented and mixed-status college and high school students. Conference admission is free and will include workshops that provide students with the information, awareness, and tools needed to navigate higher education and explore alternate routes to success.
