CONNECT with Sac State Students
CONNECT (Community Outreach that Nurtures Needs and Empowers
Culture and Tradition), is inviting those who are interested in transferring to Sacramento State to attend this first-ever event to connect Los Rios students with Sac State students.
CONNECT is designed to welcome all incoming and prospective Los Rios transfer students to Sacramento State's equity programs and affinity centers.
We recognize the importance of connecting future transfer students to spaces where they can build long-term social connections while experiencing elements of home environment, language and culture.
Sacramento State spaces represented include the Pride Center, Dreamer's Resource Center, the Multi-Cultural Center, The Full Circle Project, the Guardian Scholars Program for foster youth, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. In addition to services and resources available to help all students succeed, these spaces address the social, political, economic, historical,
cultural and intersectional realities of diverse students through programming that enriches identity and develops a sense of family within the campus-all critical in promoting retention and graduation.
CONNECT is scheduled for Friday, March 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
