Careers in Allied Health
Are you considering a career in healthcare but only have a vague idea of the opportunities available to you? Are you wondering what your options are? Maybe you’re considering nursing school or curious what it takes to be an X-Ray or Sonography Technician. Or maybe Dental Hygiene or Medical Laboratory Technology interests you. These career fields and many others fall under the broad category of “Allied Health.”
Join us for a virtual presentation on Wednesday, September 28, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, via Zoom (register in advance) that will provide guidance and answer questions such as: How do I prepare for an allied health career? Which classes should I take? What should I major in? How much money can I make in specific fields? Which local schools offer the programs I’m interested in? All Los Rios students are welcome to attend! Presented by the FLC Public Service, Health, and Education Meta-Major team and the FLC Career & Transfer Center.
