Countdown to Conference!
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is honored to welcome Catherine E. Lhamon, Chair of the United States Commission on Civil Rights , as an opening plenary speaker for the NIHB National Tribal Health Conference in Temecula, California.

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is a bipartisan, independent commission of the federal government that investigates and makes recommendations on civil rights issues. Recently, the Commission published a report, Broken Promises , on the continuing federal funding shortfall for American Indian and Alaska Native people.

We are proud to have Chair Lhamon come to speak on these critical issues and help to focus a discussion on how to take what is in the report and generate a path forward. We hope that you will be there to participate in that important dialogue.
