The new year has brought many new opportunities for Civiltec, stemming from the hard work that our team members have put in. In the past year, our Arizona offices partnered with over 40 clients on 133 projects! These partnerships - both new and existing - have led to an expansion of our electrical and controls and survey service lines as well as recent project opportunities.
With the beginning of 2019 already speeding past us, we have set a high bar for ourselves. But I know our team can tackle every project that comes our way. Speaking of the team, a big shout out to Richard Aldridge, who celebrated his one-year anniversary with us in January, and Raymond Buettner, who has helped Civiltec to grow for the past 20 years! Civiltec would not be the same without either of you, and I am excited to see our company grow even further under your leadership.
Check out this Winter 2018/19 Quarterly Newsletter for a brief glance at the latest Civiltec projects in Arizona and the people who make this work happen. If you know others who would appreciate this Quarterly Newsletter, and encourage them to join our mailing list! If you or someone you know would like to join the Civiltec team in our Prescott or Phoenix office, check out the Current Openings page on our website. We are searching for new Project Engineers.
Sincerely,
Chris Dusza, P.E. Vice President and Principal Engineer Civiltec Engineering, Inc.
Bolstering the Electrical & Controls Service Line
Highly efficient, reliable, state-of-the-art electrical and control systems are vital to the operations of many projects that Civiltec undertakes. For over six months, the firm has worked to expand its newest service line by partnering with cities and water agencies on various projects.
Led by Principal Electrical Engineer Stephen "Sky" Younger, the Civiltec team has delivered a myriad of projects to supplement the firm's overall expertise and portfolio of work.
Civiltec recently partnered with the City of Prescott and Fann Constructing to deliver a road improvement project in the City. The team worked quickly to reconstruct the roadway along Washington Avenue from Sheldon Street to Chuchill Street, enhancing the drainage in the improved areas.
The improved roads and relevant upgraded utilities will increase both vehicular and pedestrian safety in Prescott.
Following the County's request to help ensure project quality, Civiltec has continued to build its relationship with Yavapai County in its latest project. Yavapai County recently contracted the Civiltec team to improve sewer lines within the Town of Seligman on Historic Route 66.
The existing wastewater system was originally constructed in the early 1990s and has seen a few upgrades over the last 100 years.
Equipping the Legend Larry Well in Prescott Valley
Backed by a long history of partnering with the Town of Prescott Valley, Civiltec was recently contracted to deliver post-design services for the Legend Larry Well site. The project includes installation of the well submersible pump, as well as construction of the controls building and surface plumbing.
The Legend Larry Well had been drilled and cased as a part of the Town's 2004 North Well Field project, but had never been equipped with a working pump.
"Chris Dusza introduced me to Civiltec when I needed a summer job as a teacher. My first summer in 1998, I was a rodman working with the Survey Crew and building the expansion of Iron Springs Road here in Prescott."
"I've known Rick Shroads for about 14 years, since I've lived in Prescott. I always knew Civiltec did quality work and that they did the same type of public agency work that I like doing. Civiltec is totally in-sync with my background and the clients I like to work with."
