SUMMER 2021
CALIFORNIA
STAFF SPOTLIGHTS
CHRIS DUSZA, PE, CFM, Vice President, Principal Engineer in Charge
"It is incredibly rewarding to see the next generation take on leadership and possibly ownership roles. I hope our leadership and ownership group continues to become more diverse. I enjoy getting different perspectives and viewpoints, ones I have never considered. I hope our current and future leaders continue to embrace changing technology and work environments but never lose sight of what makes Civiltec great."
SHAYNA PARTOVI, EIT, Staff Engineer
Monrovia
"I enjoy working in the water/wastewater field, and I was drawn to Civiltec because they do a wide variety of projects in this area. Coming from a construction background, this is a great opportunity to be able to experience the planning and design side."
Puente Basin Water Agency engaged Civiltec for preliminary design, equipping plans and construction support services for a new well to produce water from the Pomona Basin. The new Durward Well will help maximize the groundwater basin’s production and reduce the local dependency on imported potable water supply.
Civiltec Staff Engineer Alec Escamilla has earned his Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate upon successfully completing the examination process in March 2021. An important step towards earning a Professional Engineer (PE) license, the EIT certification demonstrates command of the material tested on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
One of Civiltec’s core values is to foster talent. Each summer, the firm takes on a number of interns to further this objective while supplementing the team’s increased workload. For Summer 2021, five interns will be supporting the Arizona and California offices! The Civiltec team is enjoying working with our interns, and we look forward to seeing where their career paths lead them.
San Antonio Water Company (SAWC) engaged Civiltec to provide plans, specifications and construction management services for a roof rehabilitation project at their Reservoir No. 7 service building. SAWC has previously contracted with Civiltec for design and construction of over 15 projects. Civiltec also prepared their Water Master Plan and Urban Water Management Plan Updates.
We love hearing news from everyone in the Civiltec community.
