Greetings Greetings!
What a Summer it has been here at Civiltec! As we usher in the upcoming holiday seasons let us look back on our accomplishments thus far this year. We are thankful to have many exciting projects underway, long-standing clientele partnerships, and our staff’s ongoing excellence and hard work. As a company, we enjoyed a summer evening at the baseball field. Our California offices attended a Dodgers game and our Arizona offices gathered for a Diamondbacks game. During this time, we also gave back to our communities with Arizona giving 30+ backpacks full of supplies for the back-to-school season. In addition, we donated hand-packed sack lunches from our Monrovia office to the homeless. Our offices also transitioned into the fall spirit with Halloween decorating and holding a company-wide costume contest.
We continue to grow as a company be it in numbers, knowledge, and milestones. In Monrovia, Michael Malcolm was promoted to Designer/Drafter. In Fullerton, Alec Escamilla, EIT, took on his first design lead role on the Grand Avenue Pipeline project for Valencia Heights Water Company. In Peoria, Rita Madrid just hit an awesome 10-year milestone! Her design skills have been key on many projects for the last 10 years and we appreciate her spirit, dedication, and hard work. Due to our talent acquisition specialist's (Andrea – the unicorn hunter) hard work, we have added many new faces to our rank. Including Carlisha Monticalvo, an engineering technician aiding in conflict reviews in Peoria. Branden Redfern, a surveyor in Prescott. Aileen Vogelvang, project/marketing coordinator in Fullerton. Alexander Mairena, EIT, staff engineer in Monrovia.
We are thankful to our employees and our clients who continue to supply us with engaging new projects. Since monsoon and wildfire season has come to a close in Arizona, we have been busy. Coconino County has our team, led by Chris Dusza, PE, CFM, Vice President, working on the Telegraph, Tunnel, and Pipeline Fire Flood Mitigation. We continue our work with California American Water winning several booster pump stations (as seen on the Arlington Well Treated Water Line begins its service life article). David Song, PE, Principal, Senior Project Manager also finished the Water Master Plan for the City of Brea. Gretel Nhac-Ochoa, PE, Project Engineer and her team finished the La Habra Heights County Water District Water Master Plan. Shem Hawes, PE, Senior Engineer and his team also have made great progress on the Plant B6 treatment facility project as we move into Phase 2. This project utilizes a new technology, Trojan UVFlex, which we will serve to aid in its approval process. We are thankful for our legacy clients and welcome new clients as we begin our work on the Bath Well for the City of San Jacinto. We are pleased to be so busy and grateful for our continued success!

Wildfire Season Closes and Our
Work Begins
|
Arizona Wildfire season typically begins in May and lasts through mid-July. Over the past two years, fires have started the wildfire season sooner which has created post-fire-related flooding during monsoon season.
