As we wrap up the first quarter of 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the energy, teamwork, and purpose we’ve shared over the past few months. Our commitment to quality, collaboration, and community continues to set Civiltec apart, and I’m proud to be part of this outstanding team. Thank you to our employees and clients alike for your trust, partnership, and contributions to our shared success.
We started the year with exciting activities that showcased our culture and spirit. Our January Step Challenge teams completed over 4.8 million steps – wow! February brought some friendly competition with our annual chili cook-off and during Engineering and Surveying Week, we celebrated our technical teams. These events remind me how important it is to have fun so that we can all stay energized and connected as we move forward together.
At the heart of Civiltec’s success is our people. In January, we celebrated Khandakar Shafiullah’s 5-year anniversary with Civiltec – a milestone that reflects his consistent dedication and impact. We also recognized two exciting professional achievements: Zoie Nunez passed her EIT exam, and Hao Liu, PE, PhD, QSD/P earned a well-deserved promotion to Project Engineer. In March, we highlighted the essential work of our survey crews during National Surveyors Week whose efforts lay the foundation for so much of our success.
This quarter, we also celebrated key project milestones, including the Vigil Reservoir Drainage Improvements for La Habra Heights County Water District and the Wastewater Master Plan for the City of La Verne. These successes are a direct result of the collaboration between our team and our valued clients. Thank you for your partnership and commitment to excellence.
As we grow, we’ll keep investing in the people and values that matter most – our clients, our communities, and our team. We’ll continue driving toward a more connected, collaborative future under our “One Company” approach, which encourages knowledge-sharing across all offices and disciplines.
If you haven’t already, I invite you to check out my recent Owner Spotlight article, where I share more about my vision for 2025 and beyond. We’re excited about the future and grateful to have you as part of it. Here’s to another strong quarter ahead!
Sincerely,
