Greetings David,
We hope this message finds you well as we embark on a vibrant and dynamic summer. Our team certainly has been active this season. Starting off with our second Spartan race, comprised of Arizona and California professionals who were tough enough to complete over 32 obstacles at the 2023 San Diego Spartan Obstacle Course. It is great to see such camaraderie and perseverance outside of project milestones and deadlines. We cooled off while celebrating National Water Week and naturally, we brought back a popular employee event from last year, Night at the Baseball Park. Each of our office's root for our state's teams and embrace some quality time with our favorite home team, our employees. California staff went out together to root for the great Los Angeles Dodgers. Arizona staff enjoyed the Diamondbacks who took home a win that night. While the summer of fun is in full swing at Civiltec, we also enjoyed opportunities for some serious professional development.
From networking and thought-provoking panel discussions to catching the waves of groundbreaking keynote speeches, our teams attended multiple conferences and industry events to soak up the latest trends and developments in our ever-evolving field. Our engineering professionals attended AWWA, ACWA, and AzWater Conferences enjoying interactions with industry professionals and clients. Our marketing team also took a little road trip for the SMPS Regional Conference and our HR manager, Khandakar Shafiullah, SHRM-CP, MBA, took a trip to enjoy the benefits of the SHRM Annual Conference and Expo. As the temperature rises, so does our excitement to share some sizzling news about our exceptional team members. They've worked tirelessly under the summer sun, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of engineering excellence. This year, we celebrated several milestone anniversaries, including Raymond Buettner III and Charlie Devine's 25th work anniversary with Civiltec. In addition to milestones, we have welcomed new excellent talent to our team including Jose Flores. We also reached out to former interns, now CAD Operators, David Nguyen and Ariel Lopez, EIT (Congrats on the EIT, again) on their experience as we welcome in our 2023 summer interns. We also checked in with our staff engineer for more than eight years now, Atenas Reynaga, EIT. It's always great to hear from our team and learn about their unique experiences.
Let's dive right in and explore the scorching project developments in recent months. We have been developing new relationships with new clients in Arizona. We've begun an on-call with the mining town of Chloride. While we start new projects we sure are making headway on previous work including Suburban Waters Systems Plant 128 Reservoir and Electrical Replacement which is moving into construction. We also took a look at a previously completed and operational project headed by our civil engineering department and Upland Branch Manager, Octavio Solorza, CSPEC, QSD/P. The West Covina Sports Complex is ready just in time for those to jump into the pool. We are so proud of the work we do and hope you are too.
