Duck Donuts Standard Assortments

As noted in the 2023 New Products & Updates email that was delivered on January 31, we are excited to introduce two new assortments to the brand and our guests. The Breakfast Box is perfect for anything from morning meetings to weekend brunches, holiday treats, and more. The Party Box is designed for guests who are looking for something simple and colorful for special occasions such as birthday parties, class treats, soccer tournaments, and others! The Breakfast Box and the Party Box will be required assortments and will be available on Olo beginning on February 27, 2023. 

The previous communication noted that the Signature Assortment and the OBX Assortment will be “sunsetted.” We wanted to clarify what this means moving forward:

OBX Assortment

• This assortment has the lowest unit sales in the system
• It will be removed from Olo on February 27, 2023
• The POS button for in-shop orders will be removed June 1, 2023
• Until this time, continue to use your OBX assortment guide and/or OBX back-of-house guides in order to prepare any OBX assortments that are ordered
• If your shop has custom promotional materials with the OBX assortment (other than assortment guides), continue to use them in order to deplete inventory by June 1
• Updated menu inserts will be available by end of February
• New shops will not be trained on this assortment moving forward

Signature Assortment

• This assortment is currently only available via Olo at 33 shops
• After looking at additional data and in order to maintain consistency across the system, the Signature Assortment will be added to Olo for all shops by February 27, 2023
• This assortment will remain available to order in-shop and online
• If your shop has promotional materials with the Signature Assortment, please continue to use them. This includes the Signature Assortment guide and/or back-of-house guides
• If you need a Signature Assortment guide, this can be found on the Local Marketing Shop under Branded Tools > Assortment Guides
• New shops will continue to be trained on this assortment moving forward
• Besides adding this assortment to Olo for all shops, the Signature Assortment will essentially be handled the exact same way that it is today, i.e. available, but not promoted in a national campaign

As noted previously, the Duck Dozen will remain a required standard assortment, and you’ll notice that now all of the donuts that make up this assortment are named. A new Duck Dozen assortment guide was included in your Spring 2023 POP Kit to support the donut name updates. Please discard your current Duck Dozen guides and replace with the new ones provided when you receive them in a few weeks.
