Clark After Dark

For its 15th year, USO Clark After Dark returns to West Hubbard Street and North Clark Street on Thursday, August 17, from 4pm to 10pm. During the event, West Hubbard Street, between North LaSalle Drive and North Clark Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. 

Proceeds from the event benefit USO programs and services that support over 300,000 service members and their families.

Chicago Air and Water Show

Presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the Chicago Air and Water Show returns to North Avenue Beach and along the lakefront on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 (10:30am to 3:00pm). 

The Chicago Air and Water show is the largest FREE show of its kind in the United States. The show can be viewed along the lakefront from Fullerton Avenue to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach as the focal point.

Please Note: On Friday, August 19, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will conduct practice flights in preparation of the show. Residents will be able to hear the drills they perform.
