LEGACY STUDENT CARVES HER OWN PATH WHILE HONORING FAMILY TRADITION
Sydney Baule’s mother's and grandmother’s stories from their time at Clarke drew her to the University. Now thanks to her time as a nursing student, athlete, and community member, she has special memories that are all her own. 
CLARKE SENIOR RACHEL CRAWFORD AWARDED McELROY TRUST GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP
Biochemistry major Rachel Crawford '21 has been awarded the prestigious McElroy Trust Graduate Fellowship, which will fund her Ph.D. work at the University of Iowa. Crawford enjoyed success inside and outside the classroom at Clarke, and is the eighth Clarkie to win the Iowa-based fellowship.
2021 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD WINNERS
The Alumni Board recently voted for the Distinguished Alumni Awards, and the following individuals were selected:

Presented for exceptional service to humanity through civic, faith-based or educational endeavors.

Outstanding Achievement Award
Deborah P. Ashton, Ph.D., CDM ’72
Chicago, IL
Presented for outstanding professional achievement and success.

Rising Star Award
Kevin A. Hartzog Jr., APRN ’13
Palmetto, FL
Presented to alumna/us 35 years of age and younger who has made an impact in their career, community or contributions to Clarke.

These recipients will be honored at the Alumni Recognition Breakfast during Homecoming weekend on Saturday, September 25.
