What to Expect:

• A Journey Through History: Discover the fascinating story of Pennsylvania's oil boom, learn about the rise and fall of Oil Creek's boomtowns, and hear about key figures like Col. Edwin Drake and Ida Tarbell.
• Scenic Train Ride: Enjoy a picturesque ride in antique cars pulled by vintage diesel locomotives through the beautiful Oil Creek Valley, now reclaimed by nature.
• Onboard Amenities: Snacks and souvenirs are available for purchase, and students are welcome to bring and eat sack lunches on the train.
• Unique Postal Experience: Mail cards and letters from the only operational Railway Post Office car in the USA!
• Fall Foliage (October trips): Experience the stunning autumn colors of Oil Creek State Park alongside our regular passengers. (Please note: a final count is needed 2 weeks prior for October trips due to high demand.)
• Comfort Considerations: Our Perry Street Station and Coach cars have limited heat when needed, but please be aware that Coach cars do not have air conditioning. We always recommend dressing for the weather.
