he following members of Marquette Catholic High School's Class of 2017 will be graduating on May 25, 2017 with Summa Cum Laude distinction. These students have maintained a 4.0 (or above) grade point average.

Natalie Anne Cloninger is the daughter of Oscar and Kathy Cloninger of Michigan City, Indiana. She is a National Hispanic Scholar, a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society, a Reins of Life volunteer, a peer tutor and is a member of the Cross Country Team at MQT. She also participates in Children's International Summer Village. Natalie plans to attend Georgetown University and study Pre-Med and Spanish.
Fiona Eggen is the daughter of Michael and Nancy Eggen of Chesterton, Indiana. Fiona earned over 575 service hours while a student at MQT and has earned both the bronze and silver Presidential Service Award. She is a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society and is a member of the Spellbowl team. Fiona plans to attend St. Mary's College at Notre Dame and major in Biology.
Isabella Giancaspro is the daughter of Diane Giancaspro of New Buffalo, Michigan. Bella is a recipient of the Richard Schaefer Scholarship. She is a member of MQT's tennis team, dance team, Science Olympiad, peer tutor and a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society. She has volunteered with the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Rivers of Hope, Catholic Charities food delivery, Michiana Day Camp and was named as Dancer of the Year semi-finalist for Sawyer Dance Troupe. Bella plans to attend Marquette University and study Health Sciences.
Kathleen Kilgore is the daughter of Steven and Amanda Kilgore of Michigan City, Indiana. Katie's father is active duty Army so she has traveled and attended several different high schools. She joined the MQT family her senior year and has had great success.
MQT was Katie's first civilian school. Katie plans to attend Seton Hall where she will study law with the intent to serve our country as a military lawyer with a focus on human rights.
Emily Rita Lazarek is the daughter of Henry and Carol Lazarek of Chesterton, Indiana. Emily is a two-time underclassman female athlete of the year, she has been named to the volleyball academic all-state team. She is a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society and has been its president for two years. She has been class vice president for two terms and was a Hoosier Girls State delegate. Emily plans to attend the University of Indianapolis where she will study Exercise Science and ultimately earn her Ph.D. in Physical Therapy.
Alexander Olesker is the son of Jack and Kim Olesker of Michigan City, Indiana. Alex has played baseball at MQT for four years and is a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society. He was the recipient of the Pontius Character Award. He was a Hoosier Boys State delegate and participated in Leadership LaPorte County. Alex plans to attend Purdue University - West Lafayette.
Kevin Robson is the son of Douglas and Anne Robson of Michigan City, Indiana. Kevin has played tennis, basketball and baseball all four years at MQT. He has been a Kairos Retreat Leader, a Hoosier Boys State delegate and class treasurer for three years. He is a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society. Kevin was named as underclassman male athlete of the year his junior year and homecoming court his freshman and junior year. Kevin plans to study finance at Indiana University - Bloomington.
Jenna Szaday is the daughter of Josef and Alicia Szaday of LaPorte, Indiana. Jenna is a member of MQT's chapter of National Honor Society, Science Olympiad and is a varsity cheerleader. She has earned two gold Presidential Service Awards and is Drama Club president. Jenna plans to study psychology at The University of Notre Dame.
