A Few Weeks Until Commencement!
We cannot wait to celebrate the graduates of the Class of 2021! So that you don't miss a single festivity, here's all the dates you need to know!
Upcoming Events
Senior Spirit Week: May 24-26
Seniors will have their own Spirit Week May 24-26. These are FULL dress down days!
  • May 24: Seniors may wear their favorite SJ apparel top. Be it a jersey, polo, or hoodie, show your SJ pride!
  • May 25: Seniors may wear their Alumni t-shirt as their top.
  • May 26: Seniors are encouraged to wear a shirt or sweater from the college they will be attending next year.
Pass the Polo: May 24-26
From May 24 - 26, seniors are encouraged on May 26 to donate their gently used uniforms to our incoming Class of 2025!

Each morning, we will be collecting polos, skirts, and other SJ uniform items in the lobby.
Last Bell: May 26
Last Bell is scheduled for May 26. The Last Bell Assembly and Alumni Induction is a celebration for our Seniors only.

Seniors will receive their yearbooks, hear from a guest speaker, and watch a celebration slideshow in their honor.
Note: There are no classes for Seniors on May 27 & 28
Senior Outing & Picnic
The Senior Outing to Six Flags New England will take place on Friday, May 28. Students must have registered and paid ahead of time.

The Senior Picnic is scheduled for Friday, June 4 on campus. This is a great day for our students to relax, have fun, and enjoy refreshments together.
Schedule Your FREE Family Portraits
Courtesy of the Alumni Association, Senior families are welcome to sign up for a professional Family Portrait in front of our Chapel on either May 27, June 1, or June 2.

The times are as follows: 
  • May 27: 8am – 6pm
  • June 2: 3pm – 7pm

Mandatory Graduation Practices:
Tuesday, June 1 & Wednesday, June 2 from 9:00am-11:00am
Friday, June 4 at 10:00am (Picnic to follow)
Commencement Activities!
Senior Parent Breakfast: Thursday, June 3 at 7:30AM

The Office of Advancement invites all Senior Parents to attend a breakfast prior to the Class Day Assembly. Please Note: this event is not for seniors, only their parents.

  • Time: 7:30AM - 8:30AM
  • Location: Cup of Joe Cafe & Marian Courtyard
  • RSVP: Required. Please visit sjcadets.org/seniors to reigster!

Class Day Assembly (Mandatory): Thursday, June 3 at 8:30AM

Class Day is a St Joes tradition that typically gathers the entire school to celebrate our Seniors. Academic awards and scholarships are announced at this time.

This year, underclassmen will not be in attendance. Two adults per senior are invited to attend.
  • Time:
  • Seniors must arrive no later than 7:55AM to the SJ Event Tent wearing gowns, no caps. 
  • Location:
  • St Joseph High School Gymnasium
  • Videography:
  • We will strive to stream Class Day live via our YouTube channel (@sjcadets), however, we will certainly record the Class Day ceremony and a video link will be sent afterward.
  • Photography:
  • St Joseph High School will have a photographer on hand and all photos will be available via SmugMug.
Baccalaureate Mass (Mandatory): Thursday, June 3 at 7:00PM

Baccalaureate Mass is offered in thanksgiving for the blessings God has bestowed upon our graduates and their families. Two adults per senior are invited to attend.

  • Time:
  • Seniors should arrive no later than 6:30PM wearing their gowns but no caps to the back parking lot.
  • Location: 
  • St Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. 
  • Videography:
  • Baccalaureate Mass will be recorded and a video will be sent out afterward.
  • Photography:
  • St Joseph High School will have a photographer on hand and all photos will be available via SmugMug
Commencement (Mandatory): Saturday, June 5 at 10:00AM

The moment we've all been waiting for! We will graduate the Class of 2021 on the lower fields at St Joseph High School. At this time, there is no limit on the amount of guests invited to attend, though family groups are encouraged to social distance.

  • Time:
  • Seniors should arrive no later than 9:00AM wearing their caps and gowns to the event tent. Please Note: No adornments of any kind are allowed on caps or gowns. 
  • Location:
  • St Joseph High School Lower Fields (rain or shine).
  • Videography:
  • Commencement will be streamed Live via our YouTube channel (@sjcadets) and will also be recorded. A video will be sent out afterward.
  • Photography:
  • St Joseph High School will have a photographer on hand and all photos will be available via SmugMug

Additional Notes:
  • Though this event is outdoors, masks are required and social distancing is encouraged.
  • We will have large screens on campus for those who'd prefer to watch the ceremony from their vehicles.
  • In the event of inclement weather:
  • Commencement will be held in our gymnasium.
  • Notifications will be sent via our phone system, PlusPortals, Google Classroom, and our website.
  • Graduates would be allowed two family members in the gym and we will stream the graduation outside on our large screens as well.
