CAP AND GOWN DISTRIBUTION AND PORTRAITS
Caps/Gowns/Tassels/Cords: will be distributed in the Activity Center on Tuesday, May 31 from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm and Wednesday, June 1 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. These are keepsake items and belong to the graduate as a remembrance of the evening, they are provided by the school. The list of cord recipients will be posted in Eagle Excellence in the Parent Post by mid-May. Students are awarded cord(s) using the criteria below, as determined by the cumulative GPA posted on April 22, following completion of Term 3:
- Gold cords are awarded to seniors with a GPA of 3.9 - 4.0
- Silver cords are awarded to seniors with a GPA of 3.75 – 3.89
- Red cords for Honor graduates who have earned 6 credits in AP, CIS, and/or most PLTW or certain PSEO classes and also have a 3.5 GPA
- White cords are awarded to students who have provided service to EPHS as a member of a school-sponsored club
- Blue cords are awarded to our AVID students
Portraits: This year, we have the opportunity for students to get a formal portrait taken in their cap and gown on distribution day! Photos will also be taken as your graduate crosses the stage at Mariucci. You will be receiving more information following the graduation ceremony on how to order photos.
Fines/Fees: All outstanding fines and fees must be paid before distribution days. Students with outstanding fines and fees will be receiving an email reminder from MyPayments Plus on Monday. Any outstanding payments, including the graduation participation fee of $25, can be paid utilizing myPaymentsPlus. Please refer to this document for any questions on how to create an account in myPaymentsPlus. Senior Feedback: Our counseling team has developed this survey to receive feedback from our seniors on their experience at Eden Prairie High School. We ask that this be completed prior to cap and gown pick up. Student feedback is valuable and will be used to continually improve our counseling services moving forward.
