Class of 2022 Graduation! 💯

The Class of 2022 has set new records for MAS. While having one of the most unusual high school experience, they were awarded a total of $10.4 million dollars in scholarships. We are so proud of our scholars and look forward to the places they go and the impact their bright futures will have on their communities around them. Congrats, Congrats, Congrats to the Class of 2022!!!! 

1st Graders Chosen for the Next

"I Have a Dream" Cohort 

WOW! Our rising 1st graders found out they are an extra special group at their K5 promotion! MAS has been selected to host the next cohort of I Have a Dream Foundation “Dreamers”!!!

This means scholars and their families will have specialized, wrap-around services to and through high school, their post-secondary education, and their career. This only happens once every 14 years! The last cohort was announced in 2008 and is now graduating college…

Thank you to the City of Milwaukee, Mayor of Milwaukee Cavalier Johnson, “I Have A Dream” Foundation National, Margaret Henningson, Barry Mandel, I Have a Dream Foundation Milwaukee Board and steering committee members, and I Have a Dream Milwaukee Executive Director Kahina Cargile for your leadership in this endeavor and for this once in a lifetime opportunity for our scholars. We know our students’ futures will be strengthened because of you!

Summer Learning keeps the brains sharp 🧠

At MAS, Summer School is opportunity to spur our students toward taking great steps in achievement. This summer 195 students are working hard every day!

Just taking a walk through the building on an average day, our rising K5 scholars are learning letter sounds, our 1st grades are singing and dancing to the days of the week, our 4th graders are memorizing vocab words & working on division problems, our middle schools are computing math problems and our high school are checking off their credit recovery.

Boys & Girls Club: 

Summer Programming & Driver's Education

The Boys & Girls Club is not only a strong partner during the school year,

but during the summer as well! 

Over 150 K4-8th grade scholars are participating in the Boys & Girls Club afternoon program and over 30 high schoolers are participating in driver's education, right here at MAS! The summer program attends field trips, participates in African Drumming, baking, fashion design, STEM activities, art and more. With the Boys & Girls Club by our side, we are able to create safe and fun memories that will last

our scholars a lifetime!
