LET’S CELEBRATE
OUR GRADUATING SENIORS!
Class of 2023 Graduation
Thursday, June 8 | 6 p.m.
Cottonwood Church
4505 Katella Avenue, Los Alamitos
Featuring the presentation of diplomas, senior speeches, a farewell address by Grammy Award-winning OCSA alumnus Michael Repper (IM, ‘08), student performances, and more, this culminating event provides the perfect opportunity to honor our amazing seniors one last time as they graduate from OCSA and move on to the next chapters of their lives.
Please see below for important reminders pertaining to graduation and other senior topics. We can’t wait to see you all on Thursday, June 8!

Graduation tickets were already distributed to students at Senior Item Distribution Day. Each senior received a total of six tickets for the graduation ceremony. Graduating seniors do not need a ticket.
Student Services is unable to maintain a ticket waiting list or take requests for additional tickets. Students who do not need all of their tickets are encouraged to give their extra tickets to other seniors who need them for additional family members. Please note that ticket reselling is strictly prohibited.
The venue doors will open at 5:15 p.m. to allow seating for the 6 p.m. program. Any guest in need of handicapped seating is welcome to bring one family member with them to the north entry door at 4:45 p.m. Handicapped seating cannot be guaranteed after the venue doors open at 5:15 p.m.
Detailed graduation information (including a venue map) is available here.

Attendees are encouraged to carpool due to the limited parking available. Parking is available by turning off Katella Avenue onto either Lexington Drive, Cottonwood Way, or Enterprise Drive. Guests using handicapped parking should enter off of Lexington Drive. OCSA security and parking attendants will be directing cars entering the parking lots.

We ask that you please be mindful of the following guidelines to ensure a positive graduation experience for all:
- Please arrive on time to the graduation venue, allowing enough time to park and walk to the auditorium.
- No food, beverages, confetti, balloons, beach balls, or noisemakers are allowed in the auditorium. We are renting the facility and need to respect the solemnity of the occasion and the venue.
- We recommend that you select a family meeting place in advance to help find your graduate after the ceremony.

We have a wonderful surprise for our seniors. In previous years, the directors have given conservatory medallions to graduating seniors. This year, all Class of 2023 seniors will receive beautiful conservatory stoles from their directors when they arrive for graduation at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 8. We hope our seniors will wear them with pride!
Professional photographers will be taking photos of each graduate receiving their diploma and with their conservatory director. Family and guests are asked to not interfere with the taking of these photos. Graduation attendees are required to remain in their seats and may not approach the graduates during the ceremony or as they enter and exit the auditorium. The graduation photographs will be available for purchase in mid-June at www.ocsarts.net/Photos, and all senior families will be notified by email when they are posted.
The Class of 2023 Graduation will be live streamed at www.ocsarts.net/GraduationLiveStream! Be sure to share the link with those who would like to watch the graduation ceremony from home.
Please note that the livestream will only be active 12 hours before the ceremony begins, as this channel is used by the graduation venue for other events.

GRADUATION REHEARSAL & CHECK-IN
We would like to remind the graduating class that they are required to attend the Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal at Cottonwood Church on Thursday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (unless otherwise directed). Then, they must arrive back at Cottonwood Church no later than 5:15 p.m. for Graduation Ceremony Check-In.
Grad Nite at Disney California Adventure Park will take place on Friday, June 9. Seniors should arrive no later than 1 p.m. to check in at The Callero Family Foundation Plaza (DMS Quad). Grad Nite attendees will return to OCSA on Saturday, June 10 at approximately 3 a.m. Please note that times are subject to change and that riding the bus to and from Grad Nite is mandatory.
Click here for detailed Grad Nite information and to fill out the mandatory Expectations and Acknowledgements Agreement. The agreement must be submitted by Monday, June 5 in order to attend Grad Nite. Only the senior’s OCSA email account may be used. Parents/guardians must also read through the agreement. Please contact Leadership Advisor Whitney Coates at whitney.coates@ocsarts.net for any questions regarding Grad Nite.

TEXTBOOK/DEVICE RETURN & FINES
Please note that seniors must have returned any outstanding textbooks and devices and/or paid any necessary fines in order to receive their diplomas at graduation. Seniors who do not turn in their materials by the deadline, Tuesday, June 6 at 1 p.m., can pick up their diplomas at the Student Services Office after graduation upon returning textbooks/devices and/or paying fines.
Seniors who purchased Class of 2023 t-shirts (included in the senior packages) and did not pick them up last week can pick them up in the Dance, Music, and Science Center (DMS) Room 124 after school or email ryan.haywood@ocsarts.net to coordinate a pick-up time.
Graduates will only receive a diploma cover onstage during the commencement program. The actual diplomas must be picked up by the graduates immediately following the graduation ceremony. Diplomas will be distributed by the school counselors at designated tables. Please note that diplomas are considered legal documents, and as such, OCSA does not retain a copy, nor can OCSA provide you with a replacement if it is lost or destroyed. Seniors are encouraged to give their diplomas and covers to their families for safe keeping at graduation, and later find a secure place where they can find them when an employer or university requires proof of high school graduation.
When seniors requested transcripts earlier in the school year, orders included initial transcripts, midyear transcripts, and final transcripts. Since CSU schools, UC schools, and community colleges do not accept initial transcripts, most seniors have not yet requested any transcripts for those schools. Seniors who need to send a final transcript to a CSU school, UC school, or community college should do so now at MySchoolBucks. No further transcript order is needed for seniors who will be matriculating to a private school for which they have already ordered an initial transcript.

OCSA STUDENT ACCOUNTS & EMAIL
As a reminder, on Friday, July 28 all Class of 2023 student accounts will be disabled and deleted. This means that access to the following school resources will no longer be available:
- Adobe Suite
- Aeries
- Computers & Chromebooks
- Google Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Classroom, etc.)
- Office 365 (Email)
An email with the subject line “Account Access Deadline & Instructions to Export Google Drive Contents” was sent from CSArts Tech Support to all seniors on Thursday, May 25 with detailed information and instructions.

OCSA’s Alumni Directory provides a dedicated space for the OCSA alumni community to connect, network, and communicate. You can sign up in less than two minutes when you register with your LinkedIn or Facebook profile, but you can also join with your email address. We encourage OCSA seniors to register prior to graduation in order to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with alumni at your future school or in your desired career!
Once you are registered, use the filters in the directory to:
-
Connect: Find and connect with alumni and your fellow soon-to-be graduates. See what they have been up to and stay in touch.
-
Expand: Leverage the shared history you have with thousands of alumni to expand your professional networks. Meet new people and open new doors – for yourself and others!
-
Influence: Introduce, employ, and act as a mentor to other graduating students in the future.
We look forward to celebrating with you soon!
