Growing Entrepreneurs - Nurturing Success

The students had a successful show at the mall and we have identified other sales strategies to sell the products. Final touches were put on the Halloween Dance for this Saturday. Thanks to the mentors who took time out of their busy schedules to learn about True Colors and communicating with others that are wired differently than themselves.

We toured United Graphics with Kyle Doty and Heather Rauch. This company employs 105 people and sells to people all across the United States.
Their ave order size is 2,500 copies, but have printed up to 220,000 books for clients. They provide longevity incentives for their employees that help retention rates.
Nathan Meinhart of Innovative Staff Solutions led a discussion of selling products where your target market lives. We identified many good places that might sell our product in their stores.
Gloria Spear of the Coles County Health Department spoke to the class about what it takes to start a food business. She described the difference between getting a home-based foods, cottage food or restaurant license.
