Sadly, Stage Door Theatre lowered its final curtain after 26 seasons on Wednesday, March 20th. The loss of this theatre company is a loss for the entire South Florida theatrical and theatre-going community.

The City of Lauderhill and The Lauderhill Performing Arts Center are extremely grateful to be working with Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center  for the Performing Arts to accommodate ticket buyers who are affected by the recent announcement that the remainder of the 2019 season at the Stage Door has been cancelled.

In a display of the camaraderie and warmth that pervades the South Florida Theatre community, Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center have generously agreed to assist Stage Door subscribers who have season tickets remaining, as well as individual ticket buyers who were scheduled to attend a Stage Door performance.

Broadway's hit crowd-pleaser takes you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s - where a young man is caught between the father he loves, and the mob boss he'd love to be. Bursting with high-energy dance numbers and original doo-wop tunes from the songwriter of Beauty and the Beast, A Bronx Tale is an unforgettable story of loyalty and family.

At every stage of life, each of us has hopes, dreams, even fantasies of what our life will be like. We plan, we make choices, and we set out to make those dreams come true. If we're lucky, we really do get to realize our dreams -- maybe not all, but at least a few.
One thing's for sure: We've all experienced the unpredictability of life. As we age, we somehow learn to cope with the unexpected. We make adjustments and new choices we hope will result in happiness.
