Classes of '20 & '21 Commencement
Dear Assumption Faculty and Staff,

As you know, students in the Classes of 2020 and 2021 endured difficult senior years at Assumption as they have navigated the COVID-19 safety protocols amid the pandemic. While plans for Commencement ceremonies remain uncertain, only if safe to do so, we hope to have some form of in-person ceremonies. This can only occur with your help.

The dates for the ceremonies are as follows:

  • Assumption University Class of 2021 – Sunday, May 9 at 10 a.m. (Mother’s Day)
  • Assumption College Class of 2020 – Saturday, May 15 at 12 noon

The University needs volunteers to help before and during the ceremonies, in particular, seating graduates and, if guests are permitted, ensuring attendees comply with protocols such as wearing a mask and social distancing. If you are enrolled in the testing protocol, please consider volunteering at one or both ceremonies.

As a gesture of the University’s gratitude, staff who volunteer will be provided one-half comp day for each ceremony at which they volunteer.

Know that these ceremonies will comply with all state and local safety guidelines. Please note that these dates will not change even if protocols require us to adjust the manner and location in which the events take place.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete this form by 12 noon on Friday, April 9.

Thank you once again for your tireless efforts on behalf of our students. If you have any questions, please contact Dan DiTullio.

Sincerely,
Francesco C. Cesareo, Ph.D.
