VBR member graduates from leadership academy

Congratulations to Betsy Laughlin for her graduation from the National Association of REALTORS®' Leadership Academy! Betsy was one of 20 Realtors® selected from across the United States to participate.



NARLA is a year-long program that gives Realtors® the opportunity to develop, enhance, and hone their leadership skills and competencies.

Betsy is a broker with LIV Sotheby's International Realty, a former VBR Chair, 2022 VBR REALTOR® of the Year, and she has long been involved with committees and boards on a local, state, and national level.

Feedback needed on Starter Home Initiative

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) is supporting the Common Sense Institute’s development of the Starter Home Initiative, which will provide model (and adjustable) legislation to local governments for adoption into their zoning codes and planning processes.

Give your feedback on Commission rule changes



On December 2, 2025, the Colorado Real Estate Commission (“Commission”) will consider several Rule changes, including one that could significantly harm Brokers and Consumers.

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) would like to inform you about these proposed changes and how you can participate in the rule-making process. The Division of Real Estate will be holding a “Stakeholder” meeting on November 19, 2025 to receive feedback from licensees and other stakeholders.

Member to Member Broadcast Email is free and available to all VBR members (Realtors®, Appraisers, Affiliates, Assistants), courtesy of the Vail Multi-List Service.

Subscribe to send and receive emails at www.vbr.net/members-only/broadcast-email (log into your VBR member account).

You'll also find a helpful Broadcast Email "Cheat Sheet."

Web links are not allowed in your Broadcast Email. Emails with any links will be flagged and delayed from sending until corrected. Delayed senders will get an email notification letting them know the reason.

Use Brokerage and Team name in advertising.

Brokerage firm name: All advertising must include the full, legal name of the brokerage firm with which the broker is licensed. The name should be displayed clearly and prominently.


Broker's name: For individual brokers, their name must be included in advertisements. When advertising as a team, the team name is used, but the legal name of the brokerage firm must also be included.

Please keep embedded images and any attachments below 10MB or it will cause images to be stripped (not shown in email).

Emails are moderated during office hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday). We will work to release email efficiently, but please plan accordingly.
