How many people use CloudCoin?

You may be wondering what the CloudCoin userbase is. You will probably be very surprised to know that there were over 12 thousand users this month on the Classic RAIDA. To know the entire userbase we need to look at statistics from all three of the RAIDAs including the CCv2 and the new RAIDAX. However, stats was never built into the CCV2 RAIDA and we are just now adding stats to the newest RAIDAX. So we can only look at what is happening on the Classic RAIDA to get some idea. Note that Classic RAIDA use has been steadily falling as people switch to the newer RAIDAs.

Above: Last month we had 12.54K unique users on the Classic RAIDA. This does not include the CCv2 and RAIDAX.

Who are these users?

These are people who really want privacy and use CloudCoin as money. They are not interested in converting their coins or selling them for dollars. They are not investors. CloudCoin investors tend to be very visible and complain a lot asking "why CloudCoin is not successful".

However, most CloudCoin users, are part of secret societies that are united in religious and political ideology.

We really don't know much about them except the countries they appear to live in. The biggest ones are the USA, Germany, India and South Korea. However, there are CloudCoin uses all over the world.

How many coins are transacted?

Screenshot of the Classic RAIDA's metrics panel.

Last year there were over half a billion authentication that occurred on the CloudCoin Classic RAIDA even though we introduced the CloudCoin Version 2 over two years ago. This amount is far less than the 6 Billion transaction that took place in 2021, but we think this is due to people upgrading their coins. We can clearly see that there are 12.5 thousand people who seam to prefer the Classic RAIDA.

We did not implement a status tracker on CloudCoin Version 2 so we don't have a clear idea what is happening there. But, we have implemented a status page on our newest RAIDA and are now designing a major upgrade of the status that would give us a detailed view of what is happening. This is what our new status page looks like today:

Above: The first status page of the new RAIDA.

Our status pages now show more than just the number of coins that were powned. It also shows how many pown requests there were as well as how many echo requests and how many requests in general. The new system also shows the activity on all RAIDA while the Classic only shows the activity on one RAIDA.

Now we are designing a new status system that will show us thousands of data points.

Watch Hackers Probe the RAIDA

Our new RAIDA has a secret admirer who seems to be probing for vulnerabilities. He is hitting just one of the RAIDA with large requests over and over again in quick succession. He is probably sending the requests at the same time trying to see if he is able to double spend. We are happy to see RAIDAX processing these requests in less than a microsecond. RAIDAX is designed so the requester always has to send more data than the RAIDA returns. So the hacker may have to send thousands of bytes for the serial numbers and the RAIDA returns one bit. 0 means they are all authentic and 1 means they are not.

Merry Christmas to you and all the hackers too!

And though we walk through the valley of death, we will fear no evil, for RAIDA is the badest mo'fo in the valley!
