Classic Tracks in December?!

We have not seen that in a while

Thanks to some impressive early-season magic, Peter has pushed out the manmade snow into a great little 1 km circuit, complete with set classic tracks. It may be small, but it feels incredible to finally glide again.

Even better? He took the new Prinoth Husky out for its first spin. According to reliable sources (aka the photo we tried really hard to zoom in on), he was absolutely giddy with joy in the driver's seat.

So dust off the skis, grab your pass, and head out for those first winter laps. This loop runs in a CLOCKWISE direction, let's avoid any unwanted crashes.

It’s time to get out there—let’s ski!

Dogs back on the Dog Trails

With all the work happening to prepare our ski trails for the season, we kindly ask that all dogs return to the Dog Trails. Our grooming team is putting in long hours to get the system ready, and keeping pets on the correct trails helps protect the snow surface and everyone’s safety.

You will be happy to know that the Dog Trail access road has been upgraded—it is now much smoother at the bottom and far easier to navigate.

Our groomers have also been out rolling trails to improve early-season ski conditions. Please keep in mind that it is still very much an early-season experience, so rock skis are strongly recommended. The newer trails have not yet been groomed, but those will come online as snowfall allows.

Thanks for helping us get the season off to a great start!

Still Need to Purchase Your Pass?

If you are starting to feel that little twinge of regret as the trails take shape and the season begins, please do not worry. You have not missed out. We have kept our membership rates reasonable so that those who waited for the first real snowfall can still join without a major financial impact.

We recognize that the last few winters have been challenging, but we are feeling confident and energized about the season ahead. Now is an excellent time to become part of the excitement.

Please feel free to visit the office to purchase your pass, and avoid online fees by paying with cash, cheque, or debit.

We are proud to share that CNSC is once again the top club in the province, and with your support, we hope to take one more step and become the top club in Canada. We welcome all members to return and be part of this outstanding club and community.

Soft Start to the Season This Weekend

With the trails coming together and our new early-season loop now in action, we are pleased to announce a soft start to the season this weekend.

The Rental Shop will be open on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Aaron, as well as December 13–14 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to come out, purchase your memberships, pick up your cards, grab your stickers, buy gift cards, and get ready for winter.

We will also be training new staff, and they would appreciate the opportunity to meet members and learn the job in real time.

We look forward to seeing you on the trails as we ease into another exciting season.

Community Coaching Course

Dec 12-14

We are always looking for enthusiastic coaches to support our Skills Development Program (SDP).

The Community Coaching (CC) course was originally scheduled for last weekend. Due to snow conditions and event changes, we were able to move the course to this weekend, December 12–14. This is a fantastic program and an excellent opportunity to build your skills, support young skiers, and become more involved in our club community.

We are still in need of a few more coaches to help deliver our programs this winter. If you are interested, please reach out to Belinda, our Program Coordinator, and let her know that you are excited to coach and to take the training. All course costs are covered by the club.

Thank you for considering this important role in supporting our young athletes.

What are the conditions like today?

As mentioned, we now have a beautiful early-season loop where you can confidently bust out your brand-new skis (thanks Stride & Glide for making these purchases possible) and show them off with confidence knowing that you will not hit any hidden rocks.

For the rest of the trail network, we recommend sticking to older skis for now and keeping to the rolled sections, as conditions are still developing across the system.

As always, please check the grooming report daily for the most up-to-date information on what’s ready, what’s improving, and where to explore next.
