Possible Snow Coming to Clatsop County

Another winter storm is heading our way.

The National Weather Service Portland is forecasting:

  • Heavy mountain snow and strong winds are likely for the Cascades and Coast Range Monday
  • Snow levels will lower enough to make accumulations likely above 1,000' elevation, with wet snow possible down to the valley floors Sunday night through Wednesday
  • Light snow accumulations remain in the forecast through Friday
  • Hazardous Seas and possible Gales across the coastal waters

With this weather event still several days out, specific details remain uncertain. Clatsop County Emergency Management is monitoring this storm and we will provide weekend updates as needed on our website and social media accounts.

Take Action to Protect Your Benefits

About 35% of Clatsop County residents receive health care services through Oregon Health Plan yet more than 2,000 individuals have not yet renewed their coverage.

If you had OHP or other Medicaid benefits during the pandemic, you may still have them.

Letters are going out now through mid-2024 as not everyone will be renewed at the same time. Check your mail often for your letters from the state of Oregon.

The letters will let you know if you still qualify for OHP, or what you need to do to find out if you still qualify.
