Clearfield Area Vacation Bible School 2025 Set for June 16–20: “True North” Guides Kids on the Ultimate Alaskan Adventure

CLEARFIELD, PA — The Presbyterian Church of Clearfield is thrilled to announce the return of its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS), happening June 16 through June 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM each evening at 119 N 2nd St, Clearfield, PA 16830.

This year’s theme is "True North" Inspired by the wonders of the Alaskan wilderness—from glistening glaciers to racing rivers—children will trek through a wonderful adventure. True North VBS points kids toward Jesus, the trustworthy friend who will never lead them astray.

VBS is open to all children entering 1st through 8th grade (children must be potty trained).

  • Grades 1–5 will enjoy exciting indoor rotations in mixed-age VBS crews.
  • Grades 6–8 will take part in Action Camp, venturing offsite for local adventures that blend faith, education, and community service.

A free evening meal will be provided daily. Parents are encouraged to inform the team of any food allergies or medical concerns in advance.

Preschool Parents: A special Preschool VBS is planned for July 21-24, with more details to be announced soon on our Facebook page.

Violinist Evan Forcey to Perform Solo Recital at Presbyterian Church of Clearfield

 

Clearfield, PA – The community is warmly invited to an evening of live music as local violinist Evan Forcey presents a solo recital on Friday, June 27th at 7:30 PM at the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield, located at 119 N 2nd Street, Clearfield, PA.

 

This special event celebrates Evan’s first semester of college-level music study and features a selection of violin works that highlight his growth, dedication, and artistry. Accompanying Evan on piano is his best friend and musical colleague, Slone Smith, promising a moving and memorable performance.

 

“I’m very excited to share the progress I’ve made throughout the semester,” says Evan. “It means so much to perform for such a wonderfully supportive community, and I’ve chosen a repertoire I think everyone will enjoy.”

 

Admission is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.

 

For those unable to attend in person, the recital will be livestreamed on the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, making it easy for friends, family, and music lovers near and far to join the celebration.

Hardwood Manufacturing Camp for 12-17 year olds! - unlock your future in the Forest and Wood Products Industry! Join us for four action-packed days of hands-on activities, company tours, and even build your own take-home hardwood project! Dive into this exciting and engaging camp and discover a world of opportunity right here in North Central PA! 

The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, Inc. (CAST) is excited to announce its annual Seeds of Art Summer Camp, open to students who have recently completed grades 1 through 6. This fun and enriching camp will provide young artists with an opportunity to explore music, theater, and dance with talented local instructors.

Campers will enjoy music classes taught by Evan Forcey, theater classes taught by Ty Elensky, and dance classes taught by Zoie Sidorick.

The camp will be held June 23–27 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Doors will open for drop-off at 8:45 a.m., and all students must be picked up promptly at 11:30 a.m. A trusted adult will be required to sign students in and out each day.

The camp cost is $50 per student, and scholarships are available by request via email at ClearfieldArts@gmail.com.

Registration is open now and will close on June 9 or when the camp reaches capacity—whichever comes first. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
