All-Hands Meetings: Updates & Engagement

On August 28th, our office hosted two all-hands meetings at County Administration South (CAS). These gatherings were a valuable opportunity for the A-C team to come together, hear updates, and engage with key topics impacting our office. Executive Management, Human Resources, and the ERP team shared updates on the budget, hiring freeze, ERP project progress, upcoming Employee Engagement activities, and general HR news.

Recognizing National Payroll Week

At the August 26th Board of Supervisors meeting, the County recognized National Payroll Week (September 1st–5th, 2025), as designated by the American Payroll Association. Central Payroll and Employee Benefits Accounting, A-C IT, and every Departmental Payroll team work tirelessly to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time for more than 19,000 county employees from all County Departments and Special Districts serviced by the County. To honor their efforts, A-C hosted a mini celebration for the Central and A-C IT teams in representation for the countywide payroll staff on August 3rd to recognize the dedication and hard work.

Celebrating Staff, OCEA Hot Dog Day & Summer Potluck: A Feast for All

On July 9th, we celebrated Orange County Employees Association (OCEA) Hot Dog Day. It was a great opportunity to meet OCEA staff and connect with fellow union members. This annual tradition is one our employees look forward to, and we appreciate the chance to engage with our labor partners. We used the occasion to have cake to celebrate Auditor-Controller Andrew Hamilton’s birthday.

On August 27th, A-C held our inaugural Summer Potluck, a much-anticipated event where employees truly bring out their best dishes. From carnitas, egg rolls, and Banh Mi to pozole, fried rice, noodles, and desserts, there was something for everyone. Thank you to all who contributed. Special shout-out to Anthony Kuo (Building & Office Services Manager) and Heather Brinson (Executive Secretary) for coordinating. We can’t wait for Salloween and our Holiday Luncheon!
