FAREWELL TO FATHER RON ROSSI
WELCOME TO FATHER DUNLEAVY
AND FATHER DANIELSKI
SEPTEMBER 10 AFTER 9:00 and 10:30 MASSES

It is with a most grateful but heavy heart that we say farewell to Father Rossi who will be taking a well deserved sabbatical. We will be saying well wishes and farewell to Father this Sunday, September 10 after the 9:00 and 10:30 Masses in The Meehan Center. We hope you can join us!

We will be happily welcoming back Father Thomas Dunleavy who served here at SSJ from 1986 to 1990. Father is returning to us as a Senior Priest in residence and looking forward to helping with sacramental activities.

We are also blessed to be extending a warm welcome to Father Francis Danielski, a Norbertine Priest from Daylesford Abbey
who will assist at daily and weekend Masses.

We are most grateful for their devoted service to SSJ!
NOTE FROM FATHER ROSSI

Dear Parishioners of Saints Simon and Jude:

In July 2013 Archbishop Chaput appointed me a parochial Vicar of Saints Simon and Jude Parish. Given my age at the time, I qualified as a Senior Priest in the Archdiocese. This August 2017 was my last month as Parochial Vicar of Saints Simon and Jude. These last few years have been a very enriching and learning experience for me. I hope I have been able to contribute to you as much as I have received from you. Since 2015, I have also been a Spiritual Advisor at Saint John Vianney Center in Downingtown, dividing my time between Saints Simon and Jude and Saint John Vianney, while residing at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli.

In September 2017 I will begin a five month mini-sabbatical. I’ll spend some time at St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere, Wisconsin, just outside of Green Bay. It is in the heart of Green Bay Packer Land! However, I will remain loyal to the Eagles, although quietly!

Over these past five years you have been God’s instrument filling my heart with the warmth of His love. From Day One until now, you have always greeted me with warmth and a smile- a reflection of God’s love!

Thank you all for your kindness to me- all of you- Pastor, priests, deacons, sisters, staff, liturgical ministers, lay leaders, parishioners- the memory of all of you fills my heart with warmth. I will not be a complete stranger, showing-up on occasion. In the meantime, please pray for me as I pray for you. May you continue to fill hearts with the warmth of God’s love.

Forever Grateful,
Fr. Ron Rossi

In your kindness, watch over the victims of hurricane Harvey, those separated from their loved ones - may they be reunited, those who have lost their livelihood or possessions - may they be replaced, and those who are risking their own safety to come to the aid of others - that they may be secure. Please care in a special way for the elderly, the sick, and those who were already homeless, or without support and resources. Give all hope, strength and resources to recover.
