2023 Clergy Spouse Retreat

August 18, 2023

Dear Clergy Spouses,

I am excited to announce we have scheduled a Clergy Spouse Retreat the weekend of October 6-8, 2023, at Beckwith Camp and Retreat Center. I hope you will get the chance to attend and enjoy a relzxing weekend.

This weekend has no agenda but for you to do as you please with the time. There are various activities available to you, but nothing is required.

In the past, some have come to just read and enjoy a few meals with us. Others have gone into town to shop by themselves. It is what you want to make of it. I also hope that it will allow you to connect and make friends that otherwise time and distance would not allow. We all live in a "fishbowl", and it is often reassuring to share and listen to others that travel the same path.

If finances are a reason for not being able to attend, please let me know and we'll work something out. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitat to call or reply to this email. Look for more information to come from Russell's office about registration and activities.

Unfortunately, I am not able to travel with Russell on his Sunday visits. Our family commitments require me to stay close to home on most Sundays. I realize that your own commitments may prevent a weekend overnight for you. If so, know that you can join us for only one night, just a day, or a meal.

Also, I have had a longtime dream to host several Saturday lunches around the Diocese, to offer another way for us to gather. I am beginning to make plans for those; if you'd like to help, please let me know.

Finally, I want you to know that I am available to anyone that wants to talk or discuss anything in confidence. After COVID and amongst all the troubles of this world, I think it is so important that we connect with others in our faith and support each other.

Peace,

Robin Kendrick
