Cook County offering up to $400

for poll workers

CHICAGO — Cook County Clerk Karen Yarbrough’s office is seeking poll workers in the suburbs for the upcoming presidential primary next month.

Her office is looking for election judges and polling place technicians throughout the suburbs of Cook County. The pay rate has increased to $250 for election judges and $400 for polling place technicians, according to the county.

The presidential primary in Illinois takes place on March 19.

Chiefs, 49ers Super Bowl player who could become targets for the Bears in NFL free agency

Since the Bears locked up the No. 1 overall pick, we’ve been laser focused on what the team will do with the top selection in the 2024 draft. But before picks start coming off the board in Detroit, free agency will begin. The Bears have plenty of cash to spend and plenty of holes to fill on the roster, so there’s a good chance they’re active when the market opens.
