Cleveland International Records' The Cerny Brothers Announce New Single, ‘Where I’m Going,' Ahead of Fall Tour

Heartland Rock Duo Will Tour New Album Looking For The Good Land Supporting Christone “KINGFISH” Ingram And Justin Townes Earle

Musicians, storytellers, midwestern philosophers, The Cerny Brothers has released their latest single, “Where I’m Going,” ahead of the kickoff of their long-awaited tour this fall where they will open for Christone “KINGFISH” Ingram and Justin Townes Earle on key dates. Already available for purchase and streaming, “Where I’m Going” will be impacting AAA radio on September 3rd as a follow up to "I Wanna Love You." Watch their performance of “Where I’m Going” live at Paste Studios NYC  here .

The single is part of the band’s recent album,  Looking for the Good Land , a collection of powerful working-class rock that moves with the spirit of John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty.  Looking for the Good Land was released in May on  Cleveland International Records , the company behind Meat Loaf’s classic  Bat Out of Hell  as well as Ronnie Spector & The E Street Band. The Cerny Brothers were the first group to be signed upon the legendary record label’s relaunch by Steve Popovich Jr. in Nashville earlier this year. Like all the songs on  Looking for the Good Land , “Where I’m Going” paints a vibrant picture of dreams and the American story.

“’Where I’m Going’ is a song about the reality of following a dream, and how the road can be difficult, but all answers are found in the chorus,” explains Robert Cerny. “As long as you have someone to share the journey with, it’s worth it. We hope our fans will think about their own lives and the people they share it with. Personally, I think about my wife and my son, and no matter where I go from here I will always have them.”

This fall, The Cerny Brothers will be touring the heartland and beyond in a series of stops that include upcoming dates with alt-country artist Justin Townes Earle and rising blues prodigy Christone “Kingfish” Ingram who's been selling out dates on his first headlining tour. The band prides themselves on being musical chameleons, and appearing with artists that represent such a diverse range of sounds truly speaks to the Cernys’ musical versatility. This broad appeal is why  Rolling Stone named the band a “New Americana Artist You Need to Know” this year.

Robert and Scott Cerny hail from rural Illinois, where they grew up in what they’ve described as a “musical black hole.” College and MTV broadened their musical horizons, and traveling from town to town in the band’s infancy opened the brothers’ eyes to the diversity of the American experience that they seek to represent through their music. In addition to their work as music-makers, the two also began working in filmmaking after moving to L.A. The pair have produced all their own music videos, including a wildly popular cover of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
