Why Support the Y's Capital Campaign?
W ith great elation, the Clifton Springs Family YMCA officially broke ground on a multi-million dollar project on July 6th, 2020! Phase 1 of our project will be the renovation and expansion of the Palace Theatre on 10 Crane Street.
The YMCA has raised over $550,000 to date for this project. When completed, the project will increase the available space for all health and wellness activities. We will have new locker rooms, updated equipment, a large welcoming lobby, as well as making our new facility ADA accessible. Phase 1 of the project is expected to take about 6 months. The Y has also acquired 12 Crane Street, the house next to the Palace. 12 Crane Street is in the later phases of our project which will include demolition and eventual new gymnasium.
Through our Strengthening Communities Campaign, the Clifton Springs Family YMCA is focused on projects that respond to the critical challenges faced by our community. Each of our projects contains meticulous design that will allow for program development or expansion to help our communities overcome the health and wellness challenges that we may face.
The Clifton Springs Family YMCA would to thank everyone who supported us whether big or small. The people in our community are the ones who help the Y thrive and survive. If it wasn't for you, there wouldn't be a YMCA in Clifton Springs. We thank you and we are very grateful for each and every one of you. Here is to another 140+ years at the Clifton Springs Family YMCA!
