Author and artist Eric Carle who passed away at the end of May at the age of 91, is also being remembered this month at Sulfur Books. Eric Carle, author of countless children's books, is most well known for his book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The current show at Main Street Arts, Adrift, comes to an end next Friday, June 11. Adrift is a national juried exhibition featuring 36 artists from 10 states. The next show, Living Land, will open on Friday, June 18.

Sign up your young artist for an upcoming summer session of the After School Art Experience—an immersive art experience for children grades 1-6 in which participants create work inspired by current exhibitions at Main Street Arts right in the gallery. Tuesday or Wednesday classes available, 4 to 5 p.m. The session is 4 weeks and begins on June 29/30. For more information, visit here.

Attention artists! Main Street Arts is hosting a plein air painting event in the historic and picturesque village of Clifton Springs on Saturday, September 18, 2021. The event is limited to 50 participating artists, registration required. The day-long event will culminate with an outdoor exhibition and sale under the pavilion at John Brown Memorial Park. $500 in cash awards. For more information visit here.
