Greetings from Poland!
We have organized an exciting series of events at the  United Nations Climate Change Conference   in Katowice (COP 24).  Next week, we will be honoring inspiring projects that represent the groundswell of climate action happening around the world. 
The Big Events
UN Global Climate Action Awards | Tuesday 11 December
Each year, we celebrate the winning Lighthouse Activities at a special ceremony at the conference. This year, we will be joined by UN Climate Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa, explorer Bertrand Piccard, American cellist Ben Sollee, and of course...the 15 winners.

Planetary Health: Food Systems | Wednesday 12 December
Food systems are at the intersection of various major challenges in the context of climate change and sustainable development. This 90-minute event aims to raise awareness of the role of food systems in addressing both climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals. 
Special Events
We will shine a light on climate action by organizing special events for each of the four Lighthouse Activity categories: Women for Results , Financing for Climate Friendly Investment , Planetary Health, and Climate Neutral Now . All 15 Lighthouse Activity winners will be present at these events, where they will show how they are contributing to climate action worldwide. The winners will also be participating in Facebook Live videos on Monday 10 December and Tuesday 11 December. Please follow Momentum for Change on Facebook to watch!

Momentum for Change: Planetary Health
This event will honour the winning Planetary Health activities, and showcase their on-the-ground examples of how communities, cities, companies, NGOs and other institutions balance the need for healthy communities with stewardship of natural ecosystems.

Momentum for Change: Women for Results
By showcasing the winning Women for Results activities, this event demonstrates how women are leading the way on climate action worldwide.

Global Climate Action: Momentum for Change Showcase Event

With a panel discussion featuring the winning Climate Neutral Now activities, this event shows how companies and governments are achieving real results in transitioning to climate neutrality, and making efforts in climate action worldwide.
