Alongside Hope is raising funds for 25 more Solar Suitcases in Mozambique
Thanks to the Alongside Hope community, we've been able to install 115 Solar Suitcases in Mozambique since 2016 — bringing light to health clinics and improving care for women giving birth at night. Now we're raising funds for 25 more. Each bright yellow suitcase opens to reveal medical lights, a fetal Doppler, charging stations, and headlamps. It mounts to the clinic wall with a rooftop solar panel. Cost: $6,500 per suitcase, including delivery, installation, and training.

- Alongside Hope hosted Anglican aid partners in Halifax and heard what Hurricane Fiona has taught the local community about climate resilience.
- When resettlement to the U.S. was suspended in March 2025, families in Nyarugusu Refugee Camp were left stranded. Alongside Hope's Resilience Fund supported counselling, livelihood training, and a vegetable garden program.
- Tamara Ferguson, an Alongside Hope parish rep in Oakville, is walking 30 km each week for her first Wild Ride — thinking of St. Luke's Hospital in the West Bank with every step.

The 2026 Wild Ride is underway, and there's still time to sign up, choose your challenge and fundraise to make a difference in the West Bank.
Some of our awesome participants include Bishop Bruce Myers, who's biking the 70 km Royal Road in Quebec, pausing at each of the islands seven churches to offer a prayer for St. Luke's Hospital in honour of Alongside Hope. Tamara Ferguson has pledged to walk 30km a week, making sure she's intentional about her thoughts during her walks.

World Day of Prayer for Creation Service
As we begin the 2026 Season of Creation, join For the Love of Creation for an online prayer service inspired by this year's theme, Living Water, and symbol, Immersion in Living Water. The theme draws on Ezekiel's vision of waters that bring healing, renewal, and abundant life for all creation. Together, we'll pray for ecological justice, deepen our connection to God's creation, and renew our commitment to caring for our common home. All are welcome.

Powering St. Luke's Hospital: Update on the Solar Panels
Over the past few months, Anglicans across Canada have come together to support Light for St. Luke's, a campaign to purchase and install 407 solar panels at St. Luke's Hospital in the West Bank.
Alongside Hope supporters have raised almost $150,000 so far, which has been matched by a donor – enough to fund 340 solar panels. Because of these generous donations, St. Luke's Hospital will soon be able to rely on clean, affordable solar energy for much of its needs. Operations can continue despite power outages, vaccines and medications will stay at their required temperatures and patients can be treated on sterilized linens.

Christmas cards are now available to order!
Celebrate the hope of Christmas with two new watercolour designs: "O Holy Night" (a caribou under the Northern Lights) and "Our Dear Saviour's Birth" (Joseph and Mary with the infant King). Cards come in packs of 12 — a minimum donation of $25 per pack is recommended (tax receipt eligible).
