New Clinical Research Website

UT Southwestern has been progressively building out clinical research resources and infrastructure. However, it is often hard for investigators to know of these resources or to navigate to the right place to access them. The new UT Southwestern Clinical Research website serves as an entryway to our expanding clinical research enterprise.

It showcases our clinical research domains – Epidemiology and Translational Science, Data Science, Clinical Trials, and Implementation and Community Science – and provides easy access to operational services, education and training, funding opportunities, and study opportunities. The website also features the latest institutional news releases on clinical research as well as a repository of prior clinical research newsletter stories.

Clinical Researcher Catalyst Program

The Clinical Research Office and the UT Southwestern CTSA Program are collaborating to launch the Clinical Researcher Catalyst (CRC) program, a novel series of initiatives designed to support the development of young trainees and faculty interested in clinical research.

Under the leadership of Heidi Jacobe, M.D., M.S.C.S., Associate Dean of Clinical Research Workforce Development, the new program is designed to guide faculty and trainees in developing the skills necessary to obtain funding. These include scientific writing seminars, grant workshops, group coaching, and mentorship sessions. Members of the CRC cohort will also have access to a Clinical Research Navigator, a person who can help link the researcher to resources on campus to facilitate their clinical research projects. There is no cost to participate.

The CRC program starts in January 2023. More information and details on how to apply will be presented during the Clinical Researcher Catalyst Holiday Celebration on Dec. 1, from 5-7 p.m., in the A.W. Harris Faculty Club. Register to attend.
