New Coordinator Working Group
The ICTR would like to introduce members of the newly formed Coordinator Working Group:
From top left: Lindsey Riback MPH, Akash Shah MSc, CCRP, Alla Ahmed MBBS, Annett Pedro CCRP, Nora Tomuta MD, Gabriel Ogbennaya MCTM
Members of this group are experienced coordinators and managers who will support continuous quality improvement of the ICTR’s Research Coordinator Training Program. We will work together to identify gaps in training and available resources and create new content to meet needs of staff. Additionally, we hope this Working Group can help to build a sense of community among coordinators across Montefiore Einstein. Click here to read their bios. Diversity in Clinical Trials Research Program
The National Medical Fellowships Diversity in Clinical Trials Research Program seeks to increase the number of clinicians underrepresented in medicine who serve as PIs, as part of the strategy to increase patient diversity in clinical research trials. This program is a collaborative effort between NMF, Janssen, Merck, AstraZeneca, and Parexel. The 10-week curriculum includes self-directed content, 8 weekly live virtual training sessions, and case studies. Participants will receive a Parexel Academy Clinical Investigator Certificate and will be equipped with the tools to participate and lead clinical research teams.

Eligible candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, DO, be underrepresented in medicine, be a US citizen or legal permanent resident (J-1, O-1, H-1B visa holders), and have an active medical license. Additional information and on-line application can be found here.
Submit Your Poster: NYC RING Convocation
Looking for an opportunity to showcase your research? NYC RING is excited to host a poster session as part of its 2023 Convocation of Practices, taking place on November 14th from 5-8pm at Einstein’s Price Center. This is a great opportunity to share your work with our community of clinicians, researchers, and scholars.

Submissions will be open to investigators and teams pursuing research questions relevant to primary care, prevention & screening, health systems research, community health, and social determinants of health. Funded research, pilot studies, and quality improvement projects are all welcome. Projects from any clinical area are eligible for consideration, provided that the aims have implications for primary care. We are particularly interested in implementation studies and topics related to cancer screening, complex care coordination, multiple systems integration, and health equity.

A call for abstracts will be circulated later this summer. Selected projects may be presented in either poster or storyboard format. For any questions, contact NYCRING@einsteinmed.edu
