Funding Opportunity: ICTR Pilot Project Awards
|
|
The new Pilot Project Program of the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) of the Einstein Montefiore Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) invites all Einstein Montefiore faculty to apply for pilot funding to support Translational Science (TS) projects.
The pilot program will support:
a) Generation of preliminary data, refinement of research strategies, demonstration of study feasibility, and establishment of proof of concept to support subsequent extramural grant applications of projects in translational science.
b) Early-stage development of new research methodology and/or new therapy/technologies/tools/ resources with generalizable application to an identified translational roadblock that will advance translational science and thus increase the efficiency and effectiveness of translation.
Awards are for one year, up to $40,000 in direct cost. Proposals are due on February 23rd, 2023 at 5 pm ET. To learn more about applying for a Pilot Project Award, click here.

Applications for K12 Mentored Career Development Awards Available
|
|
Applications for the K12 Mentored Clinical and Translational Research Career Development Awards are available now. These research career development awards, funded under a K12 mechanism, are sponsored by a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the NIH and the Einstein-Montefiore Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). K12 awards provide institutional support for mentored research career development to investigators who have recently completed professional training and who are commencing basic, translational and/or clinical research. Each award will provide support for junior faculty (Instructor or Assistant Professor) with doctoral degrees who will devote the majority of their effort to clinical or translational research and training for 2 to 3 years.
The application must be uploaded via our web-based system no later than February 6, 2023, through the portal here. To view the call for applications, click here.

Clinical Research Training Program Applications Due March 1st
|
|
This 2-year program consists of a didactic curriculum, emphasizing epidemiology, biostatistics, data analysis, grant writing, and research ethics; and a faculty mentored experience in clinical research, leading to the preparation of a thesis. Scholars successfully completing this program will earn a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods.
There are expanded course offerings for research methodologies across the translational spectrum in:
· Population & Clinical Sciences
· Patient Centered Outcomes Research
· Bench to Bedside Translational Research
CRTP scholars are drawn from all of Einstein’s medical specialties and subspecialties, including those interested in clinical investigation across the entire translational research spectrum, from mechanistic studies to population-based and health services research. The comprehensive program combines didactic learning and coursework with a mentored research experience.
We invite all qualified candidates to apply to the CRTP program beginning January 1st. If you are unsure if you should apply, contact the CRTP office for guidance. For more information and to apply, click here. For questions, please contact Aileen.McGinn@einsteinmed.edu.
The CRTP is currently hosting its annual poster presentation through a virtual platform! Click here to view the CRTP poster presentations from some of the members of our CRTP classes of 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019 without having to walk along Main Street. Featured below are the 2022 CRTP scholars.
