He works with those who have experienced early childhood trauma, singular event associated trauma, and complex trauma. David finds that quite often his clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, and anger are in fact experiencing these symptoms as the result of traumas that occurred over their lifetime but have not been addressed from a therapeutic perspective. David utilizes his extensive training in neurophysiology and neuropsychology to assist clients understand and respond to the impacts of trauma on the body and mind. One technique that he utilizes in this process is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT - “Tapping”). Specifically, David guides clients in the use of EFT for the purpose of affect regulation and the processing of traumatic memory.
Weaving into his use of body-oriented techniques, mindfulness, Cognitive behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches, David draws on his background in spirituality and shamanic practice to provide a holistic approach to total wholeness. He is heavily Influenced by the aboriginal notion of healing as the restoration of wholeness as apposed the contemporary medical model’s concept of healing as “fixing” or “correcting” a problem. In clinical application, this approach integrates Jungian Depth Psychology, Gestalt Therapy, and Neuropsychology.
Regardless of the technique or approach David utilizes in his work with clients, he is committed to building a therapeutic alliance, speaking openly and transparently, and meeting the client where they are. Don’t let his long hair and tattoos fool you, he is well grounded, calmly engaging, and creatively collaborative. Bring him your worst and he’ll give you his best.

“Pachakuti” means “world reversal” and refers to the time of transformation we are living now. A mesa is an altar for self-exploration, transformation and personal growth in which we create a new paradigm of one’s relation to the Self and the Universe. This tradition, in all its richness, is an evolving practice of inner and outer activities that restore balance and harmony to our relationships with All That Is.
