Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand - who now holds Hillary Clinton's former seat in the Senate - says she thinks President Bill Clinton should have resigned from office because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. Clinton was impeached due to the scandal - and was acquitted and able to finish out his term. A former Hillary Clinton advisor is now calling Gillibrand a hypocrite because she reportedly took donations and endorsements from both Hillary and Bill Clinton. How are other people reacting? Officials from the U.S. Navy in Washington state are reportedly confirming that a Navy aircraft is responsible for skywriting - what appeared to be - a penis in the air. Viewers near Spokane, Washington sent photos to a local TV station that they say show images of male genitalia in the sky over North Washington. Navy officials now quoted as saying, "the Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable." Some find it humorous, others are outraged. And there's more.
Firefighters here in the U.S. are today warning parents about a very rare but deadly iPhone incident in Vietnam. A 14-year-old girl reportedly died in her bed when she was electrocuted while her iPhone6 was charging. Investigators there think she rolled over on her frayed and worn-down charging cable and was electrocuted by a live wire. The manufacturer of the charging cable is unknown. Watch below.
That's the motto of the amazing best-selling book "Wonder" -- whose movie adaption premieres today. The book -- focusing on Auggie, a sixth grader with a craniofacial disorder -- was actually inspired by a moment author, R.J. Palacio, actually wishes she could take back. Palacio says she was out about ten years ago with her sons when her youngest son saw a little girl with a genetic disorder similar to Auggie's. When her three-year old started to cry, she moved him away to avoid upsetting the little girl and says, in hindsight, she wished she had started a conversation with the girl and set an example that this was nothing to be afraid of. Fast forward ten years to a powerful book -- and movie -- that has done just that.
In addition to the movie version of "Wonder" -- starring Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson -- there's lots more out there this weekend. Among them, "Justice League," starring Ben Affleck and Gal Godot (aka Wonder Woman) and "The Star" -- an adorable animated film about a donkey named Bo and his new friends who follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the greatest story ever told -- the first Christmas.
One more reason to get a dog. According to a new study published in Scientific Reports, owning a dog leads to a longer life. Experts say there are numerous reasons why our pooches are beneficial to our heath -- including increased activity via dog walking, fewer feelings of loneliness and depression and the additional immune-boosting benefits provided by having a pet in the house.
