US Tariffs: What the 90-Day Pause Means for the Superyacht Industry
On 10 April 2025 (yesterday), U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 90-day suspension on the implementation of most newly proposed tariffs, including the high-profile 20 percent reciprocal tariff on European Union (EU) exports to the United States.
The announcement, made during a press briefing at the White House, is part of an effort to encourage diplomatic negotiations with key trading partners and reassess the impact of broad-based tariffs on domestic and international industries.

A shadow was cast over the yachting industry this month, with the news that Eddie Jordan – former F1 team boss, yacht owner and friend – had passed away after losing his battle with cancer.
Breaking news on Loon's disastrous tender crash in the Caribbean and the fate of the seized 106.1-metre Amadea did little to lighten things, though March did end with some brighter news. Launches and relaunches from Damen Yachting, a mammoth Feadship reveal and Rossinavi's secretive, in build explorer yacht are just some of the exciting updates included in this month's list.

The 19 Best New Yachts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show
The Palm Beach International Boat Show, which runs March 19-25, has expanded this year, with more than 1,000 boats on display, including 200 superyachts and more than 40 vessels over 150 feet. Hence, show organizers set up a new Superyacht Show at Palm Harbor Marina. The display will have seminars about superyacht construction and design, chartering a superyacht, and the state of the U.S. superyacht market.
The Palm Beach show has a $1.05 billion economic impact, according to organizer Informa Markets, with more than 600 brands exhibiting and an expected attendance of 55,000.
