The Cloak & Dagger Literary Society @ Sharon Public Library
November 2016: The Police as Detective, and Police Procedurals
A list of authors begins on the right and continues at the bottom of the newsletter. The author photo is labeled with the writer's name, plus that of the lead character from their books. Please click on the author's name to view a bibliography of their best-known Police Detective and/or Police Procedural* series! Once there, you can also find biographical information as well as links to their other works. Happy mystery reading!

*A quick note: Although the term "police procedural" has a rather strict definition, we are broadening it here to include all mystery series which utilize members of the police as their main characters.

The Police Procedural On Screen
This list is by no means comprehensive, but just series I've come across, or read about in literature. Many of the shows aired on the BBC or iTV.

What can I say, the British are just particularly adept at the genre!

It's certain that, while compiling my list,
I missed authors of note who fits this category.
Please email me if you see any glaring omissions
and I will add the author(s) in question,
so that future readers will be informed!
