We Know How to Celebrate!

Happy New Year to each and all! We celebrated the holidays together with a cookie exchange, a door decorating contest, and good food and company! From meringue to cheese balls, to special cookies for folks with dietary restrictions, to peppermint cookies, bars of all kinds, sweet salad, fudge, bumblebees, checkerboards, and so much more! What a joy to share treats and the stories behind them. We enjoyed the bakery delights of Wheatfields and a Holiday Punch too. If you did not get a chance to see the door decorations, check them out at this link.

With the wintery start to 2024- we are reminded of the impact of our services-- we keep folks connected even when it is cold. We bring warmth through our dedication and care. Thank you for being there for our listeners and our community!

Pictures show volunteers engaged in conversation, sharing holiday treats, holiday decorations including a Christmas tree, lights and a Menorah.

Logo for the monthly virtual coffee bar with the title and two cups of coffee clinking

All volunteers are invited to stop by for a virtual cup of coffee and chat as we welcome our newest group of volunteers at the January 24th Virtual Coffee Bar. Our December VCB had a few technical difficulties- so we hope to connect this time. *This is a week later due than usual- but gets us back into the swing for the new year.

It's a fun way to connect, learn, and get to know each other better.

Dead Man's Cell Phone

A dramatic comedy by Sarah Ruhl

An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet café. A stranger at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man – with a lot of loose ends. `A wildly imaginative new story about how we memorialize the dead – and how that remembering changes us, as we confront assumptions about morality, redemption, and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.
