Snow Storm and Inclement Weather Policy
I want to take this opportunity to remind all of my MAGICAL clients what my expectations are regarding snow storms or forecasted inclement weather situations.
My cancellation policy does remain in effect during these times.
I also have some TIPS, and want to support you in making the BEST decision for yourself when these situations arise:
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I’M JUST NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING IN THE SNOW?
I would ask that you keep an eye on the weather forecast when you have an upcoming appointment and reschedule it with at least 48 hours of notice if, in general, you are concerned about driving in the snow.
I will typically wait to see EXACTLY what the weather is going to be like before I make the decision to close, and often take into account what the local school districts are doing, the client flow for the day, etc.
We live in Colorado, and we can expect to see over 100 days of snow fall per year. Annually we can also expect 300 days of sunshine. Due to our late Summer this year I anticipate a heavier snow fall than usual. I sure do love our Centennial Columbine State… but it’s entirely possible to experience all four seasons in a day.
I will notify you as soon as possible if the decision is made to close, or if an earlier or remote option is being made available due to other rescheduled appointments.
If a storm is expected I may reach out to try to get you in earlier.
If you aren’t comfortable waiting to hear whether we will be open or not and don’t want to risk being charged for your session should you decide not to travel we recommend that you move your appointment just so you have peace of mind.
REMEMBER: PLEASE PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS NOTICE TO AVOID BEING CHARGED FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
I am not typically able to take phone calls or return messages during the work day, I set boundaries for after hours, and I honor my days off. I offer remote services as well.
All scheduling requests should be directed to
(720) 675-7721.
Text message is the preferred method and will grant you the fastest response.
For those of you who are okay with waiting for us to make the call as we get closer to the predicted day of inclement weather, feel free to keep your appointment in our schedule.
Understand that we will always prioritize safety.,
ARE YOU A SNOW BUNNY AND WANT TO BE NOTIFIED OF LATE OPENINGS THAT MAY ARISE?
I do live a little further away now, but still absolutely want to accommodate all of my clients near and far, understanding that everyone’s situation is different.
As we move into the season where snow and cold weather are possible and probable-
Please send me a message at (720) 675-7721 and I will add you to our SNOW DAY list.
I typically keep the sauna going and add hot stones and other specialty upgrades on snow days. I will probably also clear your car off for you before you leave. 😉
I will ABSOLUTELY close during times when we lose power, and you will not be charged you for your appointment if we are forced to close. If you have prepaid for your session that will be honored at your next appointment.
However~~if it’s just normal Colorado winter snow, we typically stay open and you can expect to be able to come in for your appointment.
Please make your decision based on what you feel is safe and comfortable for you and cancel if you feel it’s not in your best interest to drive on the roads~even if it means you will be charged.
HOW TO AVOID CANCELLATION CHARGES
Cancel or reschedule as soon as possible any time you are unable to make your so I may attempt to fill your appointment time with clients that may be waiting to get in, and in no less than 48 hours.
Ultimately, to avoid ANY CHANCE of being charged, your best bet is to take your appointment out of my schedule when a storm is expected.
If you feel confident that the decision that I make will align with yours, keeping your appointment will likely be best for you.
Everyone is different and I want this to make sense for each individual person.
If you have any other questions regarding cancellation or weather policies I am more than happy to talk to you about all of this during your next visit.
I appreciate your understanding and support, and trust you to make the best decision for YOU when it comes to weather.
