5:30 PM
Before Lenten Soup Supper
This is a devotion related to
the Passion of Christ recalling a series of events at the end of Jesus' life,
from his condemnation to his burial, and imitates the practice of visiting the places of Jesus' Passion in the Holy Land by early Christian pilgrims.
Held in the sanctuary, we will stop at each of the black and white wood cuts hung on the walls and offering prayer on our way.

Presentation on March 8th
New Life Mission
Felix Russo
New Life Mission is one of the most important missions to the unhoused and marginalized in the Hamilton area, providing meals, groceries, and connections to important social services in the community. Acting as a hub New Life Mission helps people access addiction recovery services, mental health services, LGBTQ+ and HIV services, food stamps, disability benefits, and Medicaid benefits. They build long term relationships of trust and respect that provide a stepping stone to stability. Their collaboration with area social service and government agencies helps create a web of easily accessible services. New Life Mission is a partner in the Hamilton Pastors' Poverty Group, convened by Mother Suzanne, and frequently receives financial offerings from Trinity.
We hope you will join us to meet Pastor and Director of New Life Mission and learn more about this vital mission to those in need in our community.

Lenten Supper on March 1st
We had a great time at the March 1st Soup Supper learning about Sarah Ruston's ministries in Turkey. Her faithfulness to God's call lead her to serve as an unpaid administrator for a missionary counseling service in Antalya that serves missionaries from across the world. More recently, since the start of the Ukraine War, she has served the needs of Ukrainian orphans taken in by the Turkish government. Dinner was wonderful with chicken soup, vegetable soup, broccoli salad, and fruit salad. Yum! It was lovely getting to know more about one another as we shared this simple meal.
Hope you can join us next time!

Next Clothes Sorting Party
Saturday, March 11
10:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Sorting
followed by
Lunch and Fellowship
at 12:00
We have mounds and mounds of unhung and unsorted clothing,
so generously given to us
from parishioners and community partners.
We desperately need your help
to dig out from under this mountain of clothing
as we get ready for the change of seasons!
It really is a great deal of fellowship and fun,
and it is wonderful to see the restocked racks after our work!
And the food is always delicious!
And this time around we will be joined by some members of
St. Anne's Episcopal Church in West Chester, so we will have a chance to get acquainted with our closest Episcopal neighbors.
St. Anne's also frequently donates clothes and hygiene products.

News about
the ECW Brunch
held on Sunday, February 26
Trinity's ECW (Episcopal Church Women) held its first meeting of the year Sunday, Feb 26th.
The table was beautifully decorated by Pat Combs and brunch was cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy and a breakfast casserole with fruit salad.
The group voted unanimously to split the money raised last year between the World Food Kitchen serving in Ukraine and Turkey, and the Open Door Food Pantry here in Hamilton.
A resolution was made to have regular ECW meetings on the third Sunday every month after after the 9:30 worship service, except in June, July and August. Speakers will be arranged and we will also have round table discussions on various subjects.

Next Bible Study is Tuesday, March 7th, at 12:45 PM
We are studying
the Gospel according to Matthew.
Come join us!
Come now and then or come every week. No prep necessary.
On March 7th,
we will begin studying the
Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5-7
We had an inquiring discussion this past week about
Matthew 3:13-4:23,
Jesus' Baptism, Jesus' Temptation (and Obedience),
and the calling of the first disciples.
The theme was obedience and discipleship.
Did you know --
that the word obedience comes from
the root words for to hear and to move closer to?
And the word disciple comes from
the root words that mean to follow in order to learn?
The Baptism and Temptation demonstrate Jesus'
complete obedience to God's Word.
We become disciples of Jesus as we follow Jesus
to learn how to keep God's Word at the center of all we do.
In this way, Jesus becomes our model for obedience,
for hearing God's Word and living it out.

Looking for New Vestry Members!
First of all - what is the Vestry?
It's the governing board of Trinity, with nine Vestry Member (Board Members), a Senior Warden (President), a Junior Warden (Vice President), the Treasurer, and the Rector (Mother Suzanne). We meet once a month, generally in the evening on the third Tuesday of each month for about an hour and a half. In addition, Vestry members are sometimes asked to lead or serve on sub-committees of the Vestry or asked to attend a Vestry retreat. Vestry terms are generally three years long. Generally three new Vestry Members are elected each year at the Parish Annual Meeting in March. This year we will be electing three new members for three-year terms and one new member for a two-year term.
Who can run to be a Vestry Member?
Vestry members must be Confirmed or Received into the Episcopal Church and Members of Good Standing, which means they attend services, are involved in parish activities and ministries, and financially support the parish.
What do I do if I am interested?
Contact Mother Suzanne at slevesconte@gts.edu or 513-869-8694. Your name will be submitted to the Nomination Committee (made up of those Vestry Members whose terms are ending - this year Beth Blaylock, Bridgid Cornell, and Heather Komnenovich). The Nominating Committee makes the decision of who will be on the final slate and presents it to the Vestry. The slate is then presented at the Annual Parish Meeting in March where votes are cast by the parishioners to select the new Vestry Members.

Altar Flowers Sign-Up
To provide flowers for a service,
please contact Sue Samoviski
at 513-478-8918 or suesamo63@gmail.com
In Lieu of Flowers,
you can instead make a Memorial Contribution
to Trinity's Almoner's Fund or General Fund.
A Note about Lent
During Lent there will be no flowers on the Altar.
It is customary during the penitential season of Lent
to keep things a bit simpler and starker.
So, no Alleluias, no bells, no flowers.
