Great Futures Start Here!
This week, I had the opportunity to join leaders from Boys & Girls Clubs across America in Washington, DC, to advocate for our kids. We focused on the urgent need for robust funding for critical federal programs—ones that play an important role in fostering academic success, college preparedness, and life and workforce readiness.
We’re building great futures here in Atlantic City. While our grants and government programs do help, your support is essential. Thank you for your donations, and for volunteering your time and resources, to make a difference in the lives of our kids.
With gratitude,

Congratulations to the 8th Grade Team who emerged victorious and won the Jr. Cape Atlantic Basketball League Championship! They finished the season with an impeccable 20-0 record! This is a remarkable display of talent and determination, and we are so proud.
Our Wellness Center staff and teen leaders brought the “Be A Star” program to Drexel Club. Our 5th and 6th graders had a great time expressing emotions and talking about them. Thank you to our Wellness team for a great program to catapult our wellness initiatives and discussions about mental health at a kids’ club level!
Homework Power Hour at Chelsea Club is in an inspirational space—the mural created by our kids with the Atlantic City Arts Foundation.
Thank you to the TD Charitable Foundation, which has awarded a $25,000 grant to underwrite Money Matters: Make It Count at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. The program is dedicated to teaching vital financial skills to teenagers aged 13-18, empowering them to make informed decisions about money management. With the support of TD Charitable Foundation, our club can continue to provide valuable mentorship and resources to equip youth with the tools they need for financial success.
This coming weekend, girls will have a chance to choose the dress of their dreams at Project Prom. As the chair and co-founder of the event, Rene Kane, says “It's more than just a dress—it's a symbol of empowerment and confidence.” The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is proud to partner with Project Prom to showcase programming that empowers young women. We will be on hand at the event with information on programs such as SMART Girls, which includes dynamic sessions, field trips, and mentoring to help girls build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, getting good health care, and developing positive relationships. Project Prom takes place from March 9-11, 2024, at Kensington Furniture, 200 Tilton Rd., Northfield, N.J.
